Hi Awix... ~huggle~... thought you'd up and left us... ~grin~ As to helping with my unamusement... me fears no-one can help me with that... ~sad sigh~... but on the good news front... me is going away for a few days... and that should wipe away all upset with h2g2... and me should come back refreshed and happy... so no worries on that front...
Oh... we REALLY missed your articles... me has heard a couple of rumblings my love...
Hugs.. Greebs..xx

How could you ever think I'd abandon you so cruelly (eech, melodrama overload)? Like you (I suspect), I think I'll be here till they pull the plug. (Many years from now, with any luck.)
I'm still seething a bit over the article mixup (NOT at any particular person, I hasten to add, just at the way things turned out). Oh well - as I said to Shazz, it saves me from going to see Resident Evil, I suppose...
Have a great time, Greebs. Hope to hear from you soon...

Just whose 'plug' are we referring to here Awix... as me plans to live forever... and me is not going to live forever without my most dearest and nicest friends... then you are livving forever as well...
and... as me is not going to abandon h2g2... then me would prefer it to be here forever to... ~grin~... you conversation... does not make sense... ~huggle~...
Never mind ... it must be the heat or something...
Sorry about your articles... the PO contribute thingy is NOT what it should be... and we greatly missed your articles... in fact... Timelord who was online as we posted the Post... was the first one to comment to me... and ask where your third con. article was... as he was looking forward to reading it... me suspects several people have missed it... me being another one... as me totally enjoys your style of writing... ~huggle~
But... at least everyone has something to look forward to next week... and even though me is away... me will be logging on to see whats happening in the post... ~grin~

Hey Greebs, hope you had a nice break. I'm in belt and braces mode right now trying to ensure at least someone on the post team knows where this week's film review is! It's at A641684 (the last para is meant to be ironic BTW)... sorry, after what happened with Minority Report I'm paranoid (not inappropriately).

Me quite enjoyed it... ~grin~... very moralistic... though me hasn't read the original Philip K. Dick story... but it was as unsettling as Blade Runner in that the hero was an anti hero if you get what me means... gave much to think about... and hope would never happen... ~grin~ It was a typical Tom Cruise film though... and could nearly have been called MI3

Must confess the only PKD I've read is the novel Blade Runner was based on (which is much more interesting and funny - in a black way - than the film).
Hey, you like Anne McCaffrey don't you? Here's my favourite line from her 'The Tower and the Hive': 'Captain Vandermeer, if you will please initiate a 360-degree turn of the ship, we'll begin the long journey home.' Great moments in astro-navigation, #375078573...
What happened to Top Ten this week BTW? I was looking forward to seeing if I'd improved on joint fifth place...

There was more interest in a puddle of water than in the Top Ten... so it was decided very regretfully to drop it at the moment... shame really... but... not all things are succesful... or even spelt right...

Hey peeps, glad everyone's back, alive, etc.
Two things:
Pourquois is Awix referring to Awix as an egomaniac (not that I'm disagreeing here...)?
And can Greebo convince me to look at h2iq again, since I will never be online at the appropriate time to be first with an answer?

Awix Posted Jul 26, 2002
Heh - the egomaniac thing is mainly to do with my not-very-subtle piece of ironic self-aggrandisement at the back end of the Resident Evil review. But Greebo asked for people's top ten all-time Post features and, naturally (...) I sent in a list of my own stuff (I recommend A693623 etc particularly highly).
But the top ten thing has been dropped leaving my parentheses as a punchline with only half a joke preceding it!
Some of us are still awaiting the result of the last edition of the Greebo vote thing (what people would most like to see atop their Xmas tree), too...
Key: Complain about this post
