I've asked myself the same thing more than once, Greebs - why bother indeed?

Oh dear... am so sorry about this... ~Greebo huggles everyone in sight~...
Was not feeling my best... ~sheepish grin~... was upset about something... and didn't want to say something to someone me would regret eternally afterwards... ~huge sigh~... resorted to poetry... then regretted the next day what me had written... hid shamefully for a couple of days... but emerged to find again how simply wonderful everyone on h2g2 can be... ~another hug all round~
As Titania said... and me is sure many of you can agree.. we all feel like this sometimes... Why bother?

Billy the piper is a good friend of mine, I taught him to convince a whole village that there rats had gone when in fact they hadn't any rats in the first place, it's all in the mind of the beholder
