Are you still reading? I slowed down a bit, in fact I don't know why I started the story, writing is so addictive. Don't worry - your character is very intelligent! Reactions are good, which is nice. Many anachronisms in the plot, but who cares (walkie-talkies in the Middle Ages?).

Haven't read the story yet, saving it til Sunday when the library is less busy.
I'm currently halfway through "Anna" - Oprah says it has to be finished by September 3rd - and more than halfway through "The Winter Queen" by Boris Akunin. Also - listening to "Little Women" and "A Gathering Light" by Jennifer Donnelly, both being serialised on BBC Radio 4.
Pumpkins are growing well, a large one on each of the three plants.
