I haven't spoken to you for a little while and noticed you were online.
I saw you a note about you finding these pages a bit easier on the eyes than those of the MBs. I must admit I've noticed that that my eyes are sore after too much message boarding but went to opticians and no problems, it must be the font that is not so easy to read. Hope your new specs will help.
It's breezy but dry up here in Cheshire this morning, but not very warm. We've got the heating back thank goodness.
My other half backed the National winner and he had the same horse in his office's sweep so he was well pleased. The one I fancied didn't run which is just about the extent of my racing know how!
Enjoy the rest of the weekend. I'm looking forward to Richard Allinson on Ken Bruce tomorrow, only for a change though.
Take care
Helen.

Hi Helen
Hope you are spending the winnings wisely!
I know nothing about horseracing. My own favourite armchair sports are tennis, F1 racing, Tour de France and American football - the last two being difficult for me to watch nowadays as I don't own Sky TV.
As for Monday morning's 'sport' headline... I shouldn't gloat, but after years of ridicule at school for my lack of soccer prowess, I tend to take the pee out of soccer players for their lack of reading, riting & R-ithmetic skills - so I tend to focus upon any news that shows them up for the idiots they are.
Perhaps I (and the media) should keep reminding myself that, sadly, there are two children caught in the Beckhams' emotional crossfire.

Hi Rich
Hope you had a good weekend. It's a miserable wet Monday up here!
I'm a bit off the MB's right now as they are becoming a bit agressive. I posted something quite harmless on JV yesterday and the reply I received was a bit off in my opinion.
I suppose the Beckham bubble had to burst sometime. They lived quite close to us until the move to Spain, although I must be the only person not to have seen them in the local Tesco! The other half sat next to Posh with Brooklyn on a flight from Dublin when he was just a few months old.
We don't have the full Sky thing either since it went Digital, just the freeview box. I quite fance the sky+ thing that records programmes so you can view at your time of choice.
Have a good day and happy surfing!
Helen.
Separated at birth?

Hi again
Just been over to The Water Margin and seen the photo of PG practising for the two-handed shot-putt.
A certain person looks kinda familiar to me. Six inches shorter & hair a lot thicker, and PG would be a dead ringer for my own 50-yr-old sister!

I see it's going to be one of those days...
Already had to move terminals because the first one wouldn't allow access to H2G2 (i.e. the security filter decided that H2G2 was an obscene site).
Now I get a computer which allows access to H2G2 but won't let me look at the recently announced Bram Stoker Award nominees, because there is a naughty word in one of the book titles.
My very favourite filter problem is when the computers object to the term 'fantasia' or similar - therefore the 'World Fantasy Awards' (for Tolkien & H Potter & suchlike) gets censored to (sic) 'World wards' because, obviously, 'Fantasy A' must be something rude!
