Hi,

Nice to get your message smiley - ok

I hope you had a good time on your travels.

If you are interpreting for deaf/blind people does that involve using sign language on the hand? Or do you work with people with Usher where you need to be positioned properly for them to see you?

Hope to chat later when you return,

hi there in answer to your question, yes deafblind manuel is each word is spelt out letter by letter on the left hand of the deafblind person.Bs.l and makaton, that is a form of b.s.l for children or people with learning difficulties but with sight or parcial sight.b.s.l is reganal so it varies from area to area its difficult to grasp so thats why we have to attend collage for3 or 4yers but deafblind manuel you can learn in aday.its marvelous when you get a reply even if you spell wrong. My partner who was born deaf then went blind when she was 11 yrs old is an examiner for c.a.c.d.p she takes sighted hearing people in thier exam with the aid iof a sighted examener soif you need anymore yap abuot things just drop line thank you for reply godbless.smiley - smiley

smiley - coolHi how nice to hear that its a pleasure to yap to you mind its a thank less job but its great to get a reply even if its to tellthe guide communicater to improve thier spelling. My partner is from belfast so went to deaf school there and found it very hard it was like something out of dickens bleakhouse. As ithink i said im an interpreter for deafblind also level 2 unless you work for s.s. or sense colleage is expensive if you have to pay for your course.Ihope you make it your job as there is a shortage of people taking up the profetion as i said its a thankless job but worth while ive been doing it for 15 yrs and have felt like giving up but its like a drug, are you going to make it your carreeror just another string to your bow as they sayso its nice to yap to you pleasee excuse my spelling its terrible godbless.

smiley - coolhi again just a short note deafblind manuel isnt hard if you remember the vowels like your thumb is .Athen first fingeris E. middle finger is I then ring finger O. then little finger is U. it took me a bit longer to learn if you do exam for interpeter you must do over 60 words a minute. As i am a full time carer and do d.b.manuel as well as hands on as well as b.s.l 24-7 its no prob but i think tio work with children you are an angel so dont people say differant so godbless hear from you soon.

Hi same here the sun tends to make me look like a tomato red and boy dont i get sore never mind.Yes we do have our off days same as deafblind people however they can be excused. It can be mentally taxing however to work with deafblind children takes a speacial person who can be strong and not shout up to god and ask why.We have lot of young people who come from sense u.k.to learn cooking skills and how to look after them selves and we see thier carers how patient they are great people im glad you dont mind me praise you as it can be a thankless job sometimes anyway you have a lovely weekend and wear a sunhat ha ha and stay as cool as a pussy its kind of you to reply godbless.
