Morning Helen !
Just a quick message. Just heard you on Jeremy courtesy of replay.
Well done you !! Did you never have a N'castle accent or did you lose it on your travels.
See B is still your no 1 fan Just joking !

Hi Jen
Thanks for your message, have been having difficulties getting on any of the BBC pages today. Hope I don't lose this reply!
I was quaking in my boots when I did JV! I think partly because of the MBs and anyone listening from there. The producer was really nice, but it's really weird listening for about 5 minutes to the programme down the phone line and to what is being said and thinking 'oh my god it will be me next what is he going to say and how will I react'. It certainly made the day! Had to fiddle around with the mini disc to record it from the replay as my Mum was out.
I never had a strong Newcastle accent but funnily enough I thought I sounded a bit more Geordie than usual, probably because of being up there at the weekend. It comes back a bit and I start gabbling!
The wedding do was really nice and I met up with load of old colleagues, reminisced and laughed a lot. It was just what I needed. The weather was also much better than forecast. The evening reception was at the aero club of the airport and the bride and groom arrived by helicopter which had taken them over the city and bridges and the new 'blinking eye' millenium bridge had opened while they were up!
Talking of old friends, I discovered that an ex boyfriend of mine is now the chief Immigration officer at Newcastle, I couldn't believe it and someone else I knew is now head of customs. I wouldn't like to get on the wrong side of either of them!
The JV board is a bit odd at the moment to say the least. I wish they could get it sorted. I see DG is back and was he Postmaster as well? B is becoming a bit embarrassing and I see PP got some praise this morning in the CB!
We finally got to the garden centre on Monday so I've a window box to plant up. I was lazy this year and bought 2 pots already made up for outside the front door. When I worked out the cost I don't think I could have saved much by doing them myself and I just didn't feel like it. I must snap out of it but I just don't seem to have much enthusiasm for anything. Are you feeling any better on that front?
The sun is out so I think I'll go and sit in the garden. Speak soon!
Helen.

Oh, I see what you mean. How do people get into our messages ? They must surf to see who's on line perhaps.
Yes, that new person SM really takes the biscuit, but I have to be honest in that I have laughed at some of the comments. And he has livened up the board, but like PP I will be glad when school starts back next week!
I am all right at the mo. Forgot to ring up about blood results today. Had my hair cut instead ! Must phone tomorrow. Dentist at 2.00. Think of me please. This time, he's going in the side of the gum to sort out the root canal filling and remove the 'debris' from my original crown. Stitches will be taken out next friday. Oh god, I am not looking forward to it at all.
Honestly, you sounded really good on JV. Very cool, calm and collected. I was very proud of you, and wished I had caught you on the actual programme rather than on the replay.
Glad you enjoyed the wedding. Nice to meet up with old boyfriends too. Lucky you !!
I thought DG was postmaster too. Nice to see him back.
Planted 14 pots for the back garden last week and it was hard work. Even harder now that I have to water and feed them all.
I shall look for PP's praise. Was it from the 'stalker' See you've got another one now !!!
Wonder how Catharina is doing. Hope she is having a lovely time.

Hi Jen
How is the mouth or should I not ask? It sounds awfully painfull. I saw this message not long before you would have been in the chair so I had my fingers crossed that all went well. Have you had a large amount of alcohol to kill the pain?
My Dad has had to go into hospital and they have confirmed he has a stress frature of the fema (I can't spell!) and needs bed rest until they can operate. Apparently something happened Wed that he chose not to tell me about and there was a problem with ambulence so it was very late last night when he got to the Nuffield. I think I was in a bit of a state of shock today as I was just all over the place.
Re PP's praise, it was from the 'stalker'! Don't know if you saw the message from SM on the Radio Reynolds thread but he said he knows Mike and Jason... I wonder who it is? I thought for a moment it was SC but I'm not sure. I've been racking my brains to think who it could be that hasn't been around for a bit.
I sent an email to JV about Radio R but I was a bit late in sending it as the phone was none stop this morning. I'm annoyed now because it would have been lovely for him to have given them a mention on air. Seems like he has recorded something for them!
I've missed Catharina and I don't know what has happened to BDG either.
I've cut down the number of pots this year as the watering nearly killed me last year.
Just going to have a large glass of wine and put my feet up.
Speak to you soon and keep taking the pain killers!
Love
Helen.

Hi Helen,
I am sorry to hear about your dad. It must be a worrying time for you, especially when you are so far away. I saw your message to the stalker, and wondered what had happened.
Haven't seen her about today, but I have been a little out of things ! Oh, just remembered, she did a song for PP didn't she. Oh dear.
I was in the dentist's chair for about 45 mins. Four injections, a row of knit one pearl one and I am now feeling more like myself. He has o given me some anti-biotics to prevent any post-operative infection.
I have had a couple of hours sleep, and some paracetamols, and don't feel too bad. One side of my face is a bit swollen, but that will go down soon. Stitches out next Friday. Can't wait.
Needless to say, I have not gone line dancing and am giving the pub and the alcohol a miss tonight.
I saw the message to Mike and Jason. Can't think who it can be. Is it that dreadfully nasty man who was around last year ? He was very dismissive of us all.
It's very kind of Jeremy to take the time to do something for Radio R. It will give them such a boost.
Weather forcast seems good for the next few days. Seriously thinking about going away Monday and Tuesday of next week. See how my mouth is first though.
Have no idea about Becky. She appears very rarely now. I wonder if Penny is still in touch with her ?
Have a lovely weekend,
speak soon
Jen

Hi Jen
Just a quickie. Saw your post re the real player thing so thought I'd catch you. Are you going away? I think we'll be having some 'visitors' soon so I was going to do some housekeeping but don't know if we can or have time? There are a few things I'd like to be able to get rid of.
Got the window box done at long last so just a few more bedding plants to fill in some gaps them I'll be done. There is a lot to be said for this modern approach to gardening - all gravel and a few plants sticking out, no lawn to mow either!
Hope your mouth has not been giving you too much pain. Also hope you got the gist of this message!
love
Helen

I think if you go to your journal and delete journal entries they will disappear.

Just checked and if you go to your journal and click on 'remove this entry from my journal' hey presto it's gone. Not sure if Jen has to do the same though, or anyone who has replied, so if you do i will too (if you get my drift).

My journal is empty, they are all conversations. The only thing we can do is unsubscribe from that conversation. I'll try!

can you unsubscribe to Thursday 12 May. I've done it but I think you will need to do it and then if that works we will just have to do the same with this one.
