I had too much last night and I've got a sore head. Must stop drinking. Feels great at the time but don't think it's doing me any good.
Are you still enjoying it here? Think it's allot more fun than the CB.

Hi Corrie
I know exactly what you mean about the !
In my attempt to lose some weight (neices wedding this year and I am determined to be slim-ish for it), I now only drink alcohol at the weekend - only thing is the is horrendous! and that's after a couple of glasses of wine! I always said that if I'd had hangovers like that when I was 18, I would have stopped drinking immediately - a bit more difficult now I'm past 40, and do enjoy a glass of wine with friends!
I do like it here, but its a bit mind boggling finding your way about - however I have a very interesting assignment this week - to facilitate a 15 minute discussion on the environmental considerations of a space elevator!
It's part of an exercise that a company has put together - there are 6 of us in the group and we all have different areas all to do with space elevators to facilitate. The company are looking for new associates to join their company and deliver training courses on their behalf, and this is their assessment method!
So I put 'space elevators' in the h2g2 search engine, and there is a couple of discussion threads about it! Also googled and got a whole pile of information (I thought it was a bit like spaghetti trees when I first read the assignment!)
So if you know anything about the environmental considerations of space elevators then do tell me!
Off to see if any of it makes sense - science was never, ever my subject at school and it is like reading a foreign language!
Catch you later

Your page is brilliant!!!! Just managed to put some text on mine but it doesn't look good yet. I'll get there! Am home all day today as my little boy has a raised temperature - only a cold but I want him at home with me.
See you later,
Corrie

Morning Corrie
I'm here and logged on!
Hope your little boy gets well - gives you a day to play though!
It's quite good here, once you get used to it - haven't explored too much, most of the stuff I've looked at have pages well out of date.
You been over to your coffee bar yet - or are you waiting a while, just in case EssJay is still there!
What you cooking up for lunch? - any chance of some shellfish?
Big pot of Columbian coming up, do you fancy a mug to try and shift your ?

Good morning Ruth,
Smelled the coffee - yes please, large mug, black. Dan says can he have a decaf? Absolutely no today! That's given you a shock hasn't it???? My boy is fine, thank you. I felt rather stupid explaining his absence to the Head with him playing on his scooter outside the window!
Haven't been near the kitchen as Mr Essjay Bee is asleep in bed and poorly. (Essjay just sent me a message and I read it thinking I'd reply in a minute and now I can't find it.) Poor chap is really b@ggered. I'll make the bed when he gets up for a shower - the 'Special Room' is en-suite.
Shellfish sounds good. Actually you've made me think of a meal thats truly and I haven't cooked it for a while. It's a Thai green curry made with monkfish, chunky haddock, scallops and tiger prawns. You will it.
Love your page - you've done a great job. I looked at the Scout website, also brill. I've had a go at making a page for me - needs some work but I think I'm getting the hang of it.
Thanks for the .

Hi Corrie
I saw the message from EssJay - think you've just replied as well, so you must have found it!
Have you been to the R2 site today - just tried to get in there and its not loading, or if it does there's no reply buttons.
The thai thingy sounds scrummy - please let me have the recipe - sounds right up my street!
Thank you for your kind words about my page - it did take a bit of working out, but got there in the end. I enjoy writing websites, I did my own for my business and a personal site, which needs updating - one of things which I'll get around to at some stage! The course I'm doing is an NVQ, when people do this they usually have portfolios which run to 2 or 3 lever arch files - I decided to do a completely paperless one, so everything is written and then imported into a web site and then burnt to CD - saves my assessor breaking her back with a stack of paperwork! It's something one of the companies I work for is developing, so there could be some mileage in it, which will be brilliant!
Well off to finish my coffee and go and do some chores - banking, shopping etc and get organised for my facilitation exercise tomorrow. We're swimming tonight, best get in some practice before the mammoth swim on Saturday.
Good to know your lad is feeling better!
Catch you later

Morning Ruth,
How was your weekend? Lots of swimming?
I've taken the day off as not feeling well at all. Am really tired with a headache that won't shift. Going to make a big mug of coffee and try to relax.
Very happy for Jeremy - the baby's arrival is imminent I understand.

Morning Corrie
Hope you get over your headache soon - I find them to be completely debilitating and usually take myself off to bed until they've cleared, as doing anything else means concentration which just makes it all worse!
Had a great weekend, thank-you. As well as the swimming we have a friend over from Oz, so there was curry, beer, sunday roast and more beer and wine! (although not all on the same plate/glass! )
Now it's back to work; am in the process of printing off certificates for a course I ran a while ago, and providing the delegates with a cd-rom with lots of post-course information on. Have just bought a really neat programme which means that you can auto run discs - it is great!
Have a course to deliver next Monday, so I need to get all the handouts and materials ready for that, so I can have a weekend to myself!
Couple of big meetings this week, which should lead to some more work, and I must get down to sorting out my marketing plan, and actually doing some sales and marketing - not my favourite part of the job - and one that is likely to give me a !
Wonderful news about JV (or Mrs JV as the case may be!) I saw your message to him on the JV mb - I have a quick look over there every so often!
Have steared well clear of the R2 and CB mb's - far to much angst in a world where there is enough war!
I'll join you with a mug of , whilst I put my signature to all this paperwork.
Get better soon

...just thought, how rude of me.... never asked you about your weekend!
How was it - lots of good things?

Your weekend sounds fun. I love to have friends round - I spoil them rotten of course with xtra special meals (curry if I get my way!).
You've got a lot of work on, as usual! I only work part-time, having off-loaded lots to try and have an easier life. It was too stressful with all of the charity work - rushing around trying to keep everyone happy all the time! My job at the moment is killing me because I am bored beyond belief. My boss is sweet and trusts me to come and go as I want, he knows the job will be done, perfectly, of course. His bank balance (now) is directly proportionate to his I work with some lovely people, too. The benefit of the job is that it's on my doorstep, almost, so I'm never more than 2 minutes from home/school.
Saturday was fine - actually cleaned the house before the outlaws arrived. They are such fun and we had a lovely time. Yesterday I spent most of the day being a on here. I know what I'm doing here, now - I'm nesting. Want all of us to be happy and comfortable here, then we can have a good time. Anyway, that's why I have a headache. Think I might be in for a migraine because I got blue flashing lights. Only had 4 but they stink.

Best go and lie down in a darkened room and stay there until the blue flashing lights have gone!
I too spend far to much time at the computer - a lot of it for work, when I'm not out delivering training - but I should take a break now and then and do something more useful instead
Am going to miss the first part of MG this afternoon, as I am still in a state of shock about The Archers, so am going to have to relisten to last nights episode.
Great that you had a good weekend - that's my lunch break over - catch you later!
