Hi Catharina !
I hope you received my last message which I sent while you were in Spain. Saw you had put your name, Catherina, on the Coffee Bar, but I decided to call you darling. Or should that have been Dahling ?
Anyway, moving swiftly on, you had a lovely time in Spain I gather.
Did you go the the Costa del Sol ? I like Spain because of the climate, the cheap booze, it only takes a couple of hours to get there, the beaches and the sea.
There have been one or two nasty posters on the boards the last couple of weeks. Why do they do it ? You get far more out of life and people if you are pleasant.
I was at the dentist last Friday having my crown sorted out. Unfortunately, it was not easy, and I have stitches in my gum and a face like a hamster. Loads of bruises as well. You should see some of the looks I am getting. Or rather my husband. I think my husband must have been like yours. Very caring and kind and he thinks I am lovely !! Bit like my father and my mother. All my relatives used to say 'If your mother's happy then your dad's happy'. All in a good way of course. My husband is like that.
Anyway, Catherina, it's my birthday on Monday. Are you a Gemini ? I think Jason is. When's Helen's birthday ?
Your story of dropping the pint of lager made me laugh. I am just like that. When I was younger I used to be embarrassed but now I just laugh 'cos I don't care.
Speak soon, I shall send round a list of what sort of cake everyone would like on Monday. I still can't get over you ordering chips from the Indian take away. If you lived near us, we would take you out and introduce you to good Indian food. Unless of course you are like my daughter and the mere smell of curry makes her feel sick !
Nice to see you back,
Love
Jen

Morning, Jen,
Would you believe it, 7-38 in the morning. (Had to giggle, couldn't find the "8" on the keyboard, still half asleep).
I thought I'd answered your post, Jen, but if I haven't, I apologise.
Glad to know your birthday is on the 14th. I didn't know you were a Gemini as well. Yes, Jason was on the 27th May and Helen's is 1st August.
My friend John is coming on Sunday, from Cornwall. I don't have much time to spend on the computer when he is here, but I hope I'll remember Monday, even if it's later in the day.
I shall order the flowers to-day, in good time. O.K.?
Yes, I lurk a bit around the other boards, so I have a bit of an idea what goes on, but I haven't the confidence to join in, don't know why, it seems like a bunch of unfriendly strangers sometimes.. Anyway, I'm too lazy to get into arguments and getting my knickers in a twist, I'm on the board purely for fun and jolly banter. That's why I stick mainly to the CB.
I ordered the bag of chips because Jason was showing off with all these Indian names I'd never heard about. Ha ha ha.
I love curries but don't know much about real Indian food. My husband spent 2 years inIndia and hated it so much, he was in the worst, dirtiest places and when he came back he wouldn't set foot in an Indian Restaurant.
But, all I can say is, we have no idea what goes on in any of the kitchens,do we? It's best not to think about it.
I was at a very posh do at "Grosvener House" in London, and sat opposite the door the waiters came through. I saw one with a large dish of lamb cutlets, 1 slid off on to the floor and he picked it up and put it back on the dish.
One of my friends gave a dinner-party and had a starter with prawns on the table when she called the guests. She and I were the only ones who saw the cat sitting on the table, having a lovely lick at all the prawns.
We kept quiet, I'm ashamed to say!!
Sorry about your face! Well, your temporary face, I should say. It must have a slimming effect or can you eat normally?
I know alcohol is loaded with calories, but I can never imagine anything is really fattening if it slips down easily. You've never mentioned your husband before, you lucky girl. Wish mine was still here. What is his name? Love him and spoil him while you can.XX
Must go and do lots of shopping.
Speak to you soon, Jen.
Am looking forward to the on Monday.

Hi Catharina !
Glad you had a great birthday yesterday. Don't you feel really special that one day of the year. I love birthdays.
I have been married for more years than I remember, and yes, to the same man !! My son did some work in a local Indian restaurant, and he has quite put me off from going there.
A few years ago, we always went to a great Indian restaurant. It was always packed, delicious food, reasonable prices and we got to know the staff quite well. We also recommended it to lots of people.
Imagine our horror when there were headlines, not only in the local paper but also in the Daily Mail with the heading 'Tandoori Underpants'
Apparantly the kitchens were filthy and they used to put their dirty washing in with the vegetables !! They were fined thousands of pounds. I am sure it's immaculate these days, but I just cannot go back there.
Catharina, I think we have at least 2 other messages on the go, so perhaps we should start another newie !
Did you watch the footie ? I didn't. Went to bed for a couple of hours instead. All this excitement is too much for a Gemini girl.

Hi Jennifer
Oh dear, what a shock that must have been about the Indian Restaurant, maybe my hus band was right after all. I once worked with an Indian who thought we were really dirty because we used toilet paper, apparently he used his right hand for washing himself there and thus had to eat with his left hand always.
We don't ever know what goes on in kitchens, do we? I suppose fish and chips is one of the safest things to eat, as the whole lot gets chucked into boiling oil, must kill all the germs.
I've noticed thet Neil has taken his page off, I wanted to show my friend what a lovely family he had. Hope he puts it back on again. I've lost his e-mail address as well since my computer crashed a few weeks ago.
I have watched a bit of footie, will almost certainly watch Holland to-night, and then there's the Grand Prix tomorrow, although that's become quite boring. And Monday Wimbledon! There's some good new English players coming along, aren't there?
So much to watch, no wonder I haven't got time for weeding.
Got up at 8-00 this morning and my friend was on his hands and knees in the garden, weeding. He'd been there since 7-00 and came in about 15 minutes ago.
Go on, slave!!!!! On your knees!!!! I like it!!!!
"That's the way to do it" as Punch would say.
I've been spoilt this week, another week to go. If we can prevent the usual quarrel, everything should be fine. It usually finishes up with him packing his case and away, and me thinking: "Good riddance".
Things have been very amiable up to now.
Do you want to delete any of the previous threads, Jen? If so, tell me and I'll do my best.
Speak to you again soon.
Lots of love
Catharina

Hello again !
Catharina, don't bother replying to this thread because I have already replied to your newer one. Does that make sense !!
No, I don't want anything deleted. Helen and I had a mad half hour a couple of weeks ago deleting most things in sight.
There was a danger of us being visited by a stalker.
Yes, saw Neil had taken off his photographs.
Unfortunately, you just don't know who is about. And there are some strange people.
Has your friend gone ? I hope he hasn't flounced off !! (Sorry)
Weather all right, but not brilliant. I must get a holiday organised before the schools break up. I've been looking on the net, but can see nothing I fancy. Lots of Turkish holidays, but I have been once and will never go again.
Tim Henman knocked out of Wimbledon. I feel sorry for him; he's the only player we've got and he carries a nation's hopes on his shoulders. I cannot understand why we don't encourage our youngsters to partake in sport, and make it accessible. How many good golfers would we bring on if the game were less snobby. It's made expensive to put the oiks off, but there are plenty of well off ones about. I've see them in Spain.
Sorry Catharina. It's the haves and have nots - I hate it. Think I may be brave enough to go and add my twopenneth (?) on Jeremy's board. I'll get blown out of the water I expect.
Love and
Jen
