Well, it took me a bit of time, but I finally tracked this place down. There seems to be a rash of temporary defectors from the CB over here.. you, Jason, FBN, BDG. And the board seems a bit quicker as well. And it was all thanks to Pamela! I haven't really had time to investigate this site in depth. Since I am supposed to be working, I tend to end up with one eye on the CB (the speed of which suits an office environment). Here, however, there is so much to look at, I tend to get sidetracked and then forget what I was supposed to be doing! Nice to see you have me on your Friends list... if I can work out how to do it, I shall reciprocate! However, it's 2.15 in (once again!) snowy Romania and I have to go back to doing what I was doing before I did this! If you see what I mean!! Hope to catch up with you soon. Will check back in later to see if you are around before I leave, but we are two hours ahead of you so you will probably be doing something very domestic and industrious while I slope off for a vat of wine!! Take care and looking forward to seeing your site develop. Essjay

Hi Essjay
Lovely to see you, I've added you to my friends as well, not to have replied before didn't realise you were here!!! It certainly takes some time to find your way around here but I think it's . I was up until 12.30 last night playing with my page!!! So I know what you mean about it taking up a lot of time. It's a brilliant site, but there is a lot to learn. At the moment I'm in the "north end" of someones kitchen!!! You can find us by clicking on the message on mine or Corrie's page. Hope to see you again soon.

Morning Essjay,
Sun's shining here, no snow, but my boiler has just died, I think.
Maybe catch-up later. I'll be too skint to buy a though!!!!

Dear Corrie - sorry I didn't get back to you yesterday, but Sunday is our day off and I leave my computer at work. Trying to connect to the internet in the hotel means taking out a mortgage which I can't afford, so I have a self-imposed net-free day once a week!! Just means that I appear very antisocial! Glad the sun is shining. Are the leaves beginning to come through yet? What about the snowdrops and narcissi? Here, the sun is also shining today (Monday), but has only melted some of the snow. My partner was supposed to be arriving today for a short visit from Morocco, where he's been working for the past six weeks, but found out first thing this morning that he has to work another day and so won't be here until tomorrow night . Just discovered that somehow I have managed to lose all the smileys from this page - and can't remember the codes..... having a senior moment!! Any ideas where they have gone! I shall have to rootle around and find them... can't express myself without smilies - maybe I should make a few up! That could be interesting!! Still I shall go and have a and a piece of and think about getting back to work ! Catch you later!
All the best Essjay

Hi Essjay,
Thanks for this and your other message. Pleased you found your
Will think of some recipes for the chef and post them in Shepherd's Kitchen - they don't have to be in Romanian, do they?
Sorry your partner will be a day late. You must miss him. Enjoy yourself when he gets there. He'll feel the cold, won't he, coming from sunny Morrocco?
There's no smileys for the things you're thinking off, if they're the same my naughty thoughts.

In the first post, I was making up the smileys... then I found them and took the precaution of printing off a list so I have a ready-reckoner to hand. So now I can put in my worth, have a quick while I wait for my and leave on the . Fortunately the other half is a cold weather person, so Morocco has been hell for him. He can't wait to come here! Yes, we do miss each other and it's difficult spending up to 6 or 7 months apart - but they say absence makes the grow fonder, and the bills have to be paid.... so I am now looking forward to a good as I have heard he is en route !! The recipes most certainly don't have to be in Romanian!! We have to understand them, so we can explain them to HIM!! Ever tried explaining exactly what brisket is?? . Thank God for the Internet!
And yes - great minds do think alike .... I just smile thinking of the smileys I could conjure !! Saw the link today in BDG's page to PG's web site. It's fun to discover that a wackey cyber-name has a real-world life. Anyway got to go and play to this load of again, so I will catch up with you anon. Have a good time in the CB tonight if I don't see you there before! and and be !! Essjay

Essjay!! I'm impressed - you've only been here two minutes and you put all of my boring posts to shame. I can't even get text on my page!!!!
Hello Corrie
essjaybee Posted Mar 9, 2004
Morning Corrie! Thanks for the compliment ... my Mother used to call me "Meddlesome Mattie", so does that give you your first clue? That's probably how I lost the smileys.... tinkering around and something goes missing.... I have discovered also that the pointer of the wireless mouse that I use has the disconcerting habit of whizzing off into one corner or other of my monitor when you are trying to do something, so instead of doing what I want to do, I have to spend hours undoing something my mouse did for me instead!! I don't know if it's a dodgy signal coming from the box, but I think I shall go back to using my ps/2 mouse - at least that obeyed me!! I'm very impressed by BDG's Personal Space - not only has she got text, but she has a link to a very sultry looking BD site.... now that's clever!! Unfortunately, I haven't got the time to play around as much as I would like, but I would love to be able to work out how to show you the view from my office and my one h.p. conveyance!! Maybe later! Looking forward to another feast in the North Kitchen tonight!! May I bring a guest do you think... (he's just checked in at Casablanca so is now officially en route) I think he could do with a bit of good nosh and lively conversation. He's quite house-trained!
If you press Edit on your personal page, you should get a screen come up with with your original crescent moon pic between the and instructions. If you then type your text under the picture but still above the <\guide> and <\body> codes at the bottom of the picture, you should get your text in. Also there is a header menu above the entry box giving you the opportunity to format it a little bit. Think that'll work. We'll know we've cracked it, when we can get our pages to look like Pamela's!! Hopefully catch you later. and Essjaj

Hello Corrie & Essjay your page Essjay you are clever, links are quite easy to do once you get the hang of it but I have a load to learn. I'm a bit cos I'm not on your friends .
I think I've discovered what Smudgie meant about the journal Pondgirls made an entry and this came automatically into my inbox because she's on my friends list, and you have the same message. So if we want to talk together easily we just make a journal entry and everyone can join in the same thread. Does this make sense?
Must off to work. Will see you all later maybe meet in the Kitchen. Have a wonderful day you two.
Lots of
B
