The wierdness of words

I've just changed my introduction-thingy because it sounded like such pretentious twaddle. But what is wierd (well, possibly only to me) is that what you could easily get away with in spoken language, looks really terrible once it turns into something written down. Lordy, this writing on the web business is harder than I thought.

... and blear.
Am I the only person who goes to work even when they really should be in bed with a lemsip, and then when the doctor finally says 'get thee to thy bed!', spend the whole time thinking 'I should be at work, they probably all think I am skiving because I have a big deadline to meet' and then disappearing under the duvet with a hacking cough and an enlarged guilt complex?
I'm even getting harassed by my cat who seems to have adopted the 'well, if you have to be here, you could at least entertain me' attitude. Ooooh, for a quiet life...
So, I will venture out into the world this afternoon - the snow has nearly all gone - and play in the sunshine. We have a nearly-blue sky here, and it does look rather enticing, despite the cough.
Ah well, happy Sunday.
