I came down to Galway yesterday for the second meeting (my first) of the Irish Discworld drama group. We met in McSwiggan's restaurant. There were people there I'd met in Ennistymon at the Discworld Con; a couple of whom I'd seen again in Dublin for Hogswatch. There are two English members, who attended over Skype.
Fun was had.
I have a dentist appointment here tomorrow morning (Monday), so I stayed over for the full weekend. I went for a very long walk today along the seafront.

Yes, it was great fun. Discworld people are all interesting.
I watched the opening of the Scotland/France rugby match too. It was on in a pub/restaurant/hotel where I stopped for lunch. Are there any national anthems better than those two? I actually started to care about sport. Not enough to watch the full thing, but a bit. I went back to my walk.

Nice one, TRiG!! Sounds like fun!
So: when are you visiting jolly, sunny Co. Sligo next? we had a grand craic the other night at Nathy Brennan's, great music & usual gossip stuff...& you haven't met Woolie Bear the new puppy yet! (She may lick you to death, be warned!)
