Still no baby, but...
I'm going home early, because Bernadette says she's getting more braxton hicks contractions, and they're starting to be slightly painful.
It could still be a false alarm, but...

I'm typing this while having lunch with Sean, Tim and Adam, in the pub.

Still no baby yet.
The Three One-act plays are finished now. If you did manage to see them, let me know what you thought of them. I'd like to know if anyone from h2g2 was able to come.
Now it's time for bed, since we have to get up for 9:30 to help take down the tiered seating in the hall.

Pastiche

Well, the first night is over, and it went extremely well. In fact, of the two glitches in the performance one was entirely my fault, and the other actually made it funnier.
I forgot to set two champagne glasses on the table, which was a slight problem when Peter came to pour the champagne. Luckily, he stayed in character and summoned the butler to get two glasses.
The second glitch was Dominic's false moustache when he was pretending to be a gypsy violinist. It wouldn't stay on his lip. so he played the whole scene through his fingers. But since it was supposed to be a bad disguise anyway, it wasn't a disaster.
Apart from these glitches, everything went brilliantly. No one missed any lines, and all the performances were excellent, Linda got a round of applause after her salvation army monologue (well deserved, in my opinion).
All in all, after all the worries and uncertainty of the last week, it's all actually turned out great.

Oooh, Shiny!

Well, many thanks to Demon Internet for unplugging us from the internet. Never mind - I took the opportunity, while nobody could see us, to upgrade the site with all the changes we've been working on. I hope the changes are welcome, and the new features genuinely useful. Some of them (like the index) have been around for a while, but we've now made it available from the search page. And the infamous 'who's online' gizmo is now linked from the frontpage.
Now all I've got to do is get our mailshot out...
