Hi, Jim.
Forgive me for complaining, but the children are peering over the top of the Plain skin again today... Please make them stop!

You could write your own page parser to eliminate that picture (and optionally all the BBC junk too).
You could switch to another skin, eg brunel seems to be causing the least problems recently though plain was the only one with working reply links on journal entries.
Jim could replace the banner with an easter one...

I'll fix the banner html.

SEF, I only use Plain because it allows me to set the fonts and colours easily to overcome my own personal vision problems. (I find a slightly larger than normal white sans-serif font on a black background to be most readable. The laser surgery I've had on my working eye over the years makes pale areas on screen "bloom" out a little, so the thin black text on Brunel's white pages fades away to virtual unreadability.)

Well I can see how that might be a problem (leading you to use blue plain though goo might do instead ) and that writing your own page parser to pick your own settings might be too much trouble but I would have thought you could relatively easily change your existing browser settings for larger text. It seems unlikely that is an IE only thing.

Ah, but this way I get to make the content text 20% larger while making the legal notices around the edge into 1-point...
(You didn't see that, Jim! )

Eliminating the worthwhile-content-free official BBC stuff is another reason for writing your own page parser though, as mentioned before.
