I don't think I've spent so much time on one site on the 'net' - and it's certainly been fun. Well done!
One suggestion/question though:-
Having had quite a good trawl around h2g2 there seems to be questions from field researchers dotted about the place. It would be nice to have a page dedicated to feedback and questions - I'm sure you don't really want your home page used for this, sorry. The FAQ page seems to do almost this, but is it a page where the forum entried are read by the 'team' regularly?

Well, at this stage of development the team are reading stuff all over the place. The official places to report problems or request features is the Feedpack page (A5734) or possibly the New Users page.
And we have secret tools that let us see all conversations, so we can keep pretty well on top of what people are saying.
