Good morning, Jim. It's not morning where you are, I know, but with luck it will be again soon.

I've got a couple of more things for you from the 'maybe you've already thought of this' file. I've been doing a bit of entry writing and submitting, so they mostly revolve around that. These are really nit-picky, little user interface issues. Everything seems to work great!

It would be nice to have an 'Edit Page' button, a la the user pages, if I am the Editor of a particular entry. This is as opposed to (or in addition to) the 'edit' link at the bottom of my user page.

On the entry edit form, I'd like the 'Submit Entry' button to be a check box. If the author wishes to submit the entry, he or she checks the box and updates the entry. If the article has been submitted, the check button is prechecked when the page is generated. To unsubmit the user unchecks the box and updates. I lost some changes, the other day, when I pressed the submit button before updating. (I did get them back by pressing the 'back' button on my browser, though.)

As a researcher, I would like to be able to check and see where my submitted articles are in the queue of things to be approved. (I assume it's a queue....) It's possible to get a general feeling for this now by looking at creation dates, etc., but it would really be to have this information simply presented. This could be addressed, it occurs to me, in the index by sorting chronologically.

Finally, has a community rating system for entries been considered? I was thinking something like plus, minus, or neutral feedback. Maybe even "Click here if you find this entry useful or amusing". The rating of an article could affect, say, search results, position in the approval queue, etc.

Have a good day!

-N.

Thanks for the suggestions Niten. I've made a note of them...

Mark and I have talked about the community rating system, It's very likely to be implemented; it's exactly the right sort of way to categorise entries. Researchers will be able to search for humorous articles, or serious articles and so on.

Thanks for the feedback!
