I have a problem with the subject field on my home page

I am unable to remove or edit the subject field on my home page. The field currently contains marquee tags which work when i view my home page but when i go to edit my home page the subject field contains the following: <marquee name=
There is also text to the right of the box which i cannot remove.
I hope you can help me with this problem

That'll teach you...
I've removed the marquee tags. It's probably best if you don't try that again. You could have your eye out with that.
