Roving Reporters and Password Rumours
AmoulSolo Started conversation Aug 31, 1999
I just recently logged on from a computer that I've never logged on from before and I had to do the little e-mail deal and all that fun stuff again. It struck me that if we're going to be roving reporters for the guide, we won't always be able to use the same computer to enter our works. I was going to ask straight away, but I thought I'd look through the posts to see if I could find some news about some way to enter without having to send the e-mail address. I came across someone's post which mentioned waiting for passwords. Is that what I think it is? Is that talk of having passwords to log in from anywhere in the universe? I couldn't find anything more on that subject than the vague en-passant mentionings, so I thought that I'd ask, seeing as the guide is a rather big and confusing place to try to find exactly what I'm looking for. Is there somewhere you can direct me to so I can learn more about that?

Passwords will be in the next upgrade, scheduled in just over a week's time. You'll be able to set a password, then log in from anywhere just by typing in your email address and password.
There'll be an announcement on the front page when these changes go live.
