I've been trying to use an apostrophe in my name, as in:
TV's Frink
but anytime I use the apostrophe, the system ignores my name change. The best I have been able to do is:
TV`s Frink

I prefer ' instead of `, and was just wondering if there is some reason I can't use ' (something to do with HTML?)

It'll be a bug, I suppose. I could change your name in the database, but that might lead to other problems until we sort them out. You'll have to live with the lopsided apostrophe for a little while. Sorry.

That's ok, a lopsided apostrophe is better than no apostrophe at all. Thanks for the quick response!

On the subject of names, Jim, is it possible to have a check so that no two researchers can have the same name? Last week we had two Gingers which I'm sure doesn't bear thinking about!

The only problem with enforcing unique user names is what do we do with the 10 Zaphod Beeblebroxs we already have?

However, at the moment I'm not too worried about it - after all, it's easy to check who someone is by going to their homepage.

I also thought people might start talking to me again if they thought I was someone else! As you say it's not really a problem until you start talking to yourself and if you meet reasonable people like I did (All Ginger's are reasonable people) then you all end up changing your name which stops any arguing!
