Greetings, salutations and general hallucinations. We've crossed paths, if not swords or glasses, a number of times. Just thought I'd intro myself, offer a look at my PS which pretty much covers my mundane self.
Perhaps a bit of common or general chat another day.
PS: Without the collar, I become so light-headed, I allow myself to be known as Nick.

Great pleasure to hear from you. Sorry if I don't always answer straight away. I work shift and use the office machine so there are days when I'm not here.
Name is Tony.
Drop by anytime you're thirsty, or just drop by.

Sorry, got dragged away to do a big job about D-day. My day? Oh not too good. The automtic had failed on the TX machines and I was having to start all the transmissions by hand. But that has been solved.
Colleen, my girlfriend, and I thought it was such a lovely day Thursday we took a stroll through the woods to the lido. Big mistake. When we got there it chucked it down with rain. Still it was nice while it lasted, and there was a local pub/restaurant we ducked into.
How's things your way?

For us, this is a 3-day week end. And today's Cdn military likes to "slide" into such things. The upshot, I got home 10 minutes ago. So an afternoon to myself, the hootoo and a pair of cats.
This evening we buy scads of flowers for the yard and embed them because the whole week-end is supposed to be like the end of your stroll. Typical spring in Canada.

Consolation for me is that it's Friday. Friday night my mates and I head off down the local for a few s. We'll put the world to rights, solve the economic situation and put down the youngsters of today.
Not much good at gardening. I planted some flowers and they came up dead. Must have planted the seeds in upside down or something. If I put up a shelf, it falls down. I run 50 yards for the last bus and find that that is as far as it's going. If I'd won free tickets on a world cruise, it would have been 1912 and the ship the Titanic.

So you and this Murphy (Law) have a close personal relationship, eh? I'm no good with plants either. No indoor ones as they die within days, even a 50-year-old cactus only lasted 4 months. Outdoors, I depend mostly on Ma Nature to know what she's doing.
It's been many years since my pubbing days. About 17 or so. Must just be getting too old. So I do request that you hoist an or two for me and be sure to set them thar kids straight.
Enjoy your weekend, once it arrives, mate.

Sorry, friend, it's been a long and busy day. And tomorrow is a paying work day which is expected to be even busier. So, being 9:30 pm now, I think I ought to check out the land of Nod.
Find some anti-static bubble-wrap or packing "peanuts" and stuff your shirt for warmth Or plug in a 1960's oscilloscope, the tubes in them would heat most equipment rooms. Either way, have a tolerable night and we can chat another day.

Nick, will try the bubble wrap, trouble is I cannot resist trying to pop it The air conitioning has to be on as the equipment heats the room up, and it gets like an oven. The switch is broken and they're meant to be getting a new one but it hasn't arrived yet, so you cannot adjust it. Sleep well Got another 5 hours 25 minutes of work time left

Hello again. I know that I have been absent for awhile, but with reasons. You may not agree with them, but it is the way I see things.
I AM a very good friend with "lil old me"/Chris, and recently some of her past, and yours, Venus, etc bubbled up. I did read the February chats that were bothersome and saw a nasty side to a coupla folks I was calling friends. Jen, I and Chris are clear and fine, I'm just still a bit uncomfortable facing you. I would like to think that that very mean side was an aberation and not the norm. So, I do leave things open, always with doubt on the side of probable good nature.
Anyway, a mutual friend, B'Elana/Claudia is looking to exchange e-mail bits. I have a separate one open for hootoo friends, that you can send to, then I can forward to her, if you like. It would read as nick dot j dot keip @ sympatico dot ca
No justifications or explanations are due me, I'm just still a bit grey and I hoope you can understand. If a friend is hurt, I feel it to a degree.

You say you have been absent for reasons which I may not agree with, but until I know what they are, how can I tell.
I am not quite sure why you bring the lil ol me business up. This was a misunderstanding on both sides, which has been amicably resolved, and we are both friends.
I don't understand why you think your are frightened of facing me. And why you accuse me of having a mean side.
If anyone has a problem with me I'm they can discuss it.
As for not wanting to meet some people at the meet, Lil old me wasn't it mind. I'm sure she is just as happy the misunderstanding is behind us. And remember when you read words, you do not sense the emotion behind them, only flat words. And you only have half a story, have you asked me what happened?

Tony, I am not picking or choosing sides in anything. Somehow, the past came up a short time ago, I read bits of the source of the problem. Just with the plain words, no reasons visible or given behind them, they were mean-spirited "AT THE TIME". I do know that Chris has made her own ammends and peace, in any number of directions, as it was her business. I just am not easily mollified when seeing a mean side of folks that I call friends. I do not require apologies or explanations from anyone, it was not my business. I just like to know that errors, mistakes or misunderstandings between friends are eased before I can be comfortable.
Meantime, unless you have other means to e-mail link with B'Elana, my adrx as above is still there for the connection.

You say the past came up a short time ago. I'd be interested in knowing who brought it up and why, it seems their motives are suspect.
You say you stayed away for reasons which I may or may not agree with, but until I know what they are, how can I tell?
What do you know of the situation has got to be the next question, because do you know what happened or only what has been revealed to you by others. Who may have been selective. If you can hear the truth you've spoken twisted into lies to make a trap for fools.......
As far as I'm concerned Lil old me , whom who've obviously been speaking to, and I and others who became involved, had a misunderstanding which has been resolved. The past is the past, only a fool lives in the past, a wise man steps to the future.
It was not Lil Ol me I was thinking of when I said there may be some I wished to avoid

Straight and simple, Chris (Lil old me) was hurt then, and it recently haunted her. She has, or is making, peace with it all. Unfortunately I saw some of the writings that were somewhat mean-spirited. She says it is passed, as do you, so it is NOT my business. I just saw a side of a couple of friends that bothered me, and until I felt better about it, and myself, I stayed quiet. I've seen you in the game threads, 3-letter, association, etc, and just personally felt a bit ill-at-ease. No one has spoken ill of you, it is fully the way that I have felt about everything.
So, at this time, I offer a re-start, to where we were, casual chat chums, with no history. To either of us. Does that work for you?
Again, for B'El, the e-mail is a throug-method, lest you've other routes.
Nick
