Weekend went well. My lady friend and I went out for a meal Sunday lunchtime and Sunday night went to a local club and joined in the quizzes. Our team usually does very well. Cole, my lady her names Colleen, but I call her Cole, and I didn't join in, but it was good fun to watch. They did a game of Play Youur Cards right between quizzes, which was a luagh.

Hello LW yeh my week end was not to bad thanx. sounds like you had a good week end though. been bust this week though as my compansation came through so ive been draging my hubby round with me shopping to we drop its been fun.
There isnt much more now that i want to get.
Got to book for our holiday though and then i will leave the rest of the money in the bank for a rainy day. be a first for me but you can only spend so much cant you

When I inherited some money, I invested it and after 3 years collected the interest, leaving the bulk there, and extracting the interest.

Don't noramally book holidays this early. Usually leave it until six weeks before I go. Last year I went for a week cruise down the Nile followed by four days in five star hotel in Luxor and three days in five star hotel by Red Sea. Ship was full board. Luxor was half board and Red Sea was Full board. The price? £546. Got it as a bargain as people were cancelling holidays there because of the Iraq war. So they were selling holidays off cheap to fill the hotels and ships. Great holiday. We went in June.

This year booked to go to Zante a Greek Island. Got it four hundred pounds cheaper then the books. What a bargain.

Yeh was a accident
car crash nearly two years ago.
Was left with broken shoulder collar bone damage to the upper spine and whip lash.
I was staying with family friends when we was going out another car crashed in the one i was travelling in.
It was a german couple who didnt know our roads.

Im still suffering now and have weekly physo and daily medication,
I didny get that much realy but it will help me out for a bit anyway.
Ive always fancied a cruse,
I even sugested takeing the family to disney land for this year holidays but the family wants to stay in this country and go to where they like so we are going for two weeks rather than a week.

Your lucky getting it cheaper when do you go.
Im going in august i will get it a bit cheaper as ive gone through a friend of a friend.
So that suites me.

I had a great deal of problems in walking and wore a metal brace on my right leg until an operation in 2002. I still have trouble with the spine. they were talking about either inserting some small bones into the spine, or fusing the discs together, or putting a rod in the back or injecting some sort of fluid into the spine. They did the last. They were eight injections. I still have problems, but at least I am fairly mobile. After all the physio and osteopath and hospital visits, I know what you mean. You have my good wishes.

USA has never really interested me as a holiday destination.Last year I did a cruise down the Nile for a week, followed by four days in Luxor then three days by the Red Sea. Back in 2000 I went to Kenya and had a weeks safari then a week in a beach hotel in Mombasa. I ahve always fancied a cruise too. Just waiting for one to come up at the right price.

I've always found it cheaper to holiday abroad. That sounds like I'm being a traitor to England, I know, but it is true, I do find it cheaper. You get the weather. TYou get the service in shops and restaurants. I like learning and discovering about another country and it's history and culture.

I started the Jelly baby thread as a joke, and it has received many hits, so I'm very pleased about that. Some of the remarks are great fun, too.

its took so long to get back to you but ive not been around much as you may be ablke to gather.

Ouch! sounds like you have suffered a lot.
i feel like im just a walking disaster sometimes. when i feel everythings going right for once a 100 things goes wrong.
Just the luck of the trade i guess.

My mate who was in a horific accident a couple of years back. his leg was mangled he has had so many operations to save it. he has just started to walk on it not very good and with cruches he went to see his dr at the hospital to see how it was dr only touched it and it broke. Now hes haveing it amputated as they dont think its worth trying to do anymore to save it now.
The injection you talk about is it done by a surgeon as i have got to start to have those but only a surgeon can do them and im waiting for a hospital appointment to come through. i realy hope it works as the pain sometimes is so bad it reduses me to tears.


Yeh my idea of a holiday would also be a cruse just love the sea i love swimming in the sea too even if its cold i will have a swim.

Yeh i know to holiday abroad is cheaper everyone keeps saying that but my hubby just wont have any of that. may be i will be able to twist him round my lil finger one year

Sorry to hear of your medical problems. Yes the injections had to be done by a surgeon. I woulsdn't say it's fantastic, but what an improvement. It is very good.

Holidaying abraod its really great, it gives you a chance to see another country and culture.

I don't have a family. My brother is the only relative I've got and he lives a bit of a stroll from me. The suitcase I take is only just big enough for my gear, But I do have a larger one at the back of the garage. IK'll dig it out and dust it off. If I go on another cruise I'll send you a note.

Cole and I are away for a weekend in May at Bournemouth. It's a ladies festival. And in April going to visit my friend and his family on the Isle Of Sheppy in Kent. I was best man at his wedding. His eldest is a girl and is 23 and a solictor and his boy will be 21 in May. He's a special in the poiice and wants to become a regular. How times flies. I jokingly say I knew them before they were born.

Have dusted the large suitcase from the garage and chased the spiders out so we're ready the next time you are free.
