I've got this cool idea for doing a site in c++... I think it would be much faster and more maintainable than a site which used perl... what do you think?
c++
Kim Posted Apr 14, 2000
It's a bit of a long shot but it might just work. So long as we get the right balance between Pokemon battling and coding that is.

Oscar Posted Apr 14, 2000
ooh... that's cold I didn't take any battles anyway I just watched one or two to clear my eyes I shall have words with you on monday (or maybe sunday) my old sausage

Hiya everyone!
Hey Oscar nice Pokemons on the computer! (yes, I was in your office today, I saw Kim as well, helloo!)
c++
Oscar Posted Apr 24, 2000
ooh cool
on a sunday? why?
I expect you understand the need for pokemon than stuffy old Kim
for some reason nearly every time I come into the office sonic and pikachu are performing some lewt act or other... it could be any of the rascals in the office responsible for it though
c++
Katsy a.k.a. Esti Posted Apr 24, 2000
It's funny cos I went down to the toilet, came back up to find Sonic had magically taken my place.
I'm afraid I'm not into Pokemon at all.

Oscar Posted Apr 24, 2000
ooh you're a sister of the Shim thing
bravo
I thought you'd been involved in ACE type frippery.
I should have spotted the Young clan tartan sooner!

Katsy a.k.a. Esti Posted Apr 24, 2000
Tee hee! I like that! Jules was with us as well.
H2g2 is a really cool place. You've all got weird keyboards, they're all curved and stuff, I've never seen them before.
c++
Oscar Posted Apr 25, 2000
you get used to them.
that's the _really_ annoying thing.
then you try typing with a proper one again
c++
Katsy a.k.a. Esti Posted Apr 25, 2000
Are they like the most up-to-date thing then? Almost everyone had those, Shim doesn't, he's got an old one
Prehistoric Shim
Kim Posted Apr 25, 2000
Ah, that's because Shim is stuck in the Bad Old Ways of
Prehistoric Programming. He can't adapt to all this new fangled
keyboard technology.
Prehistoric Shim
Katsy a.k.a. Esti Posted Apr 25, 2000
I wasn't looking but have you also got a curvy keyboard? (I wonder what Shim would say if we knew we were talking about him?) He's in Covent Garden again today so don't be surprised if he drops in with our parents today.
Prehistoric Shim
Kim Posted Apr 25, 2000
I just saw a vision of Shimness walking up our stairs actually, but
I passed it off as a minor epiphany since I had just been invoking
the god of programmers for aid, so to speak.
No sign of parent things though.
Prehistoric Shim
Katsy a.k.a. Esti Posted Apr 25, 2000
No, our Mum is here with me, Shim keeps phoning me asking where our Dad is, and we don't know where anyone is. Help!
Prehistoric Shim
Kim Posted Apr 25, 2000
Sorry no reply, us old types gotta work you know. Hope you managed
to find your dad before he wandered off too far.
See ya.
Prehistoric Shim
Katsy a.k.a. Esti Posted Apr 30, 2000
It's alright.
I'm gonna come back to your office one day cos it's really nice. I really want to do some work shadowing but Shim says he doesn't want a teenage girl following him round all day following his every move. I guess you're all too busy then.
