I just posted that, checked your space and saw you now have an intro! V. nice. My first intro was really short... something like "Hi, I'm Skenvoy"!!! As it is it's now too long!!! But the more time you stay on the site the longer it gets!

Hi
Oh I'm glad - mine doesn't sound so bad now! I don't know what sort of things I'm supposed to write for h2g2. Are there any guidelines I should stick to, or can I just write on any topic?

there are some conventions for writing style which you can find here Writing-Guidelines. There are also some conventions for writing entries (e.g. use British English rather than American) which can be found here <./>SubEditors-Style</.>. A lot of people spend a long time on site getting ideas for writing entries before writing them, infact some people don't write them at all! (It took me nearly a year to get round to actually writing a proper entry!!)
When you have written an entry you can submit it to the guide at PeerReview or, if you don't think it's quite finished you can put it into one of the other writing worskshops (you can find links to them from the Peer Review page)
Hope that helps, if not just ask!
