Hi, happyhappy girl. Hope you're enjoying h2g2 and all it's many nooks and crannies.

A word of advice, however. While I am the first to agree that good spelling and grammar have their place on h2g2, it is advisable to check whose spelling you are slating before you barge in and correct them. In the case of F19585?thread=373392&latest=1 you unfortunately happen to be trying to correct the spelling of a blind man, who does have his own inherent difficulties when h2g2ing. Oopsie! smiley - winkeye

If you want to be a grammar and spelling pedant, the best place to do it is PeerReview, where you can nitpick to your heart's content and even be thanked for it. smiley - biggrin

Don't take it personally, we all commit blunders every now and then. smiley - smiley

I'm always happy happy to apologise for upsetting anyone I might have offended, but please tell me how you can tell which researcher I was referring to, there was more than one mis-spelling of that particular word. By the way I am a brunette who plays competition pool, likes all shades of purple from red right through to blue, and can drink white wine from pint glasses.

smiley - biggrin Pleased to hear it. Well, some of it. smiley - winkeye

2legs is the man to whom I refer.

We had a long and somewhat tedious argument on h2g2 about a year ago about the need for good spelling, and us grammar pedants got so many complaints from the dyslexics online that we turned in martyrs. smiley - biggrin
