US election, your input?

Hi Steve, I started a thread on ASk about the US elections. I particularly was interested to get some input from US researchers. I vaguely remember you saying somewhere that you weren't impressed with any of the candidates. Anyway I'd welcome your input and any other US hootooer, unless they've all left in disgust about the amount of yank bashing on this site. I'm fairly sure had I started something US hostile, plenty would have weighed in straightaway. I can understand the hostility to Bush, I loathe him myself, but one should never judge America by that 
I had similar feelings of loathing for Maggie Thatcher, our leader a few years ago.
The little I've seen on our Brit news makes it seem really exciting.
