Seems like it's this week that I've finally noticed it getting lighter in the mornings and the evenings as well on the way to and from work. Perhaps it's the last few days haven't been tipping it down with rain keeping the skies dark. I don't think it's to do with me being any more awake. It is still dark by the time I reach home but the walk from the office to the station isn't quite so much in the dark any more.
I guess spring will spring once more - the daffodils, irises and crocuses are pushing their leaves and first buds up through the soils surface.
Now if I had more time in the daylight at home to enjoy them

Ditto, similar and likewise. I am looking forward to the day when it is light when I get home. Then I shall be able to have an outdoor post work pint.

There is a crocus in bloom already in the garden.
It has been too gloomy to notice if the days are getting noticeably longer and I am heartily sick of the dark mornings.
But it is cheering to hear that ~is~ getting lighter earlier and darker later

Some of the roses here have new growth already, but I don't know what will happen after the snow.
Yay light

An outdoor post work pint would require me to find a good pub with a decent outdoor setting. I'm sure I could do the research
The only thing in the garden I seem to notice in the morning is the Helebore in a pot by the front door. It should be flowering very soon now.

One of our rambling roses has two flowers & a bud ready to open, I've a feeling that the weather forecast for this week will put paid to that and it'll get a lot lighter if there's snow on the ground !!

Tying in some of the growing up the front of the house yesterday I saw several big fat buds along the stem I was dealing with. Hope it'll put on a good show for it
Key: Complain about this post
