Would it make sense if you took the train to Hebden Bridge and I picked you up there? An alternative station local to me would be Colne.

That's what I'm trying to work out. I can do home -> Stalybridge -> Leeds easily without having to go into Manchester (which would be the case if I go to Hebden Bridge). Not that it's difficult getting into Manchester, I do it for work daily, it's the added hassle of getting across the city to the other train station and the same for the return journey.

I was asking about it because of the possible journeys inside Yorkshire trying to work out what was happening as I was looking at ticket options in an idle moment at work.

If we were limiting ourselves to Saltair and Badford I'd do it by car, but I prefer to do Leeds by train. But I'm happy to do it however we choose.

OK I think I'll just get the train to Leeds and then play it by ear.

There are the West Yorks Metro Day Rovers available for not a lot that can do multiple train or bus or bus and train journeys which was one option I was looking at (I'm a cheapskate and like to get the best possible value )
