risk assessment?

It was a generic course dealing with the whys and hows of risk assessments at the place I work - things such as complying with various health and safety regulations and so on. A talky bit, watching a video and then we got to work an example in pairs thinking about, hazards, risks, risk reduction and so on and discuss it with the group.

oh ok. I'm going to an education thinger on risk assessment next week. Assessing risk of mentally ill violent offenders.

yes, tho still an actuarial assessment, based on research. I think the premise is still the same.

True, what was the five step plan they said
Evaluate the hazards
Work out who is at risk
Evaluate the risk and work out precautions
Record findings and implement
Review/update assessment as necessary
(even though I did the course this morning I still had to look it up!)
