That HG logo you see all the time on these pages
Posted Sep 28, 1999
I think that the Hitchhikers Guide logo that is so prominently displayed at the left-hand top corner looks like 69. Now, I live at number 69 so it attracted my attention. Is it done on purpose? What sort of warped conspiracy is behind it?

Perl is _hard_
Posted Sep 15, 1999
That's what I think, anyway. I've never been that much of a programmer (though I do have the ability to code). Somehow I've never gotten around the programming of functions (or modules, or subroutines, or whatever they are called). Perl is a very nice language, I'd recommend it to my mother, but things like hashes of arrays and arrays of hashes and regexps on all of those are just a bit obscure. I'm sure you agree.

The Internet is growing too big...

No really, it is. I mean, nobody is replying to my guide entries. What is the world coming to? Or, as my grandfather used to say (no he didn't): sic transit gloria mundi.

The weekend is over

...And still not much is happening here. Still trying to figure out how to make an earth-shattering entry to this site. It's not that complete as a hitchhiker's guide should be, I think.
