Hi Jen,
I do apologise for not responding as promptly as I normally do to your much valued and keenly anticipated crits and communications.
I'm finding it difficult at the moment to write anything at all - what with one thing and another.
Looking back, I see I haven't posted any new work since 28th December - nine days - whereas I was churning out 2 - 3 pieces a week up till recently.
I've started a few but they were so uninspired I threw them in the bin.
Now you point out that I'm neglecting even to respond to crits, which is something I abhor and never saw myself being guilty of until recently.
You are quite right to give me a gentle slap on the wrist and I am resolved now to get down to the pleasure of some hard work.

Hey, was just me having a wee worry on ye, Bri!
Think a lot of the creative muses are still sitting somewhere under the Christmas tree, a little unwrapped and shooved to the side but not quite making it out of the box. It'll come. I even penned wee one under the influence of alcohol last night so that's a wee start. Reads so different this morn, though. It is frustrating but can't force it and I do miss reading your work.
Sorry if I seemed a little narky at you above, but mister gotta keep you in line, eh?
