Bribrow, I wondered how come you were so charming - now I think I know - you're a frenchman! Am I right? I was reading your answer to Indie and wondered how come your weather was warm and pleasant smiley - biggrinwhile the United Kingdom is dull and wet smiley - sadfaceand when you said you were visiting the Matisse Museum, I looked it up and it's in Nice. Now do you think I'm clever?smiley - smiley Anyway, bonjour, comment allez vous aujourd'hui?

Hi Scribbler,
Thank you for thinking that I'm charming - whatever that means, these days - but I'm afraid you're mistaken on nationality. English right down to my impeccably clipped toenails.
I came to live in Nice 3 years ago and haven't been back to Blighty since. Might do a weekend trip one day (if that's a temporal possibility) but haven't felt inclined to yet.
As you probably gather from the tone of this note, I'm feeling better today. Thanks for asking. Back still giving me gype but I'm now well on the mend. Might even start writing again - but not just yet.

Oh Bribrow, how great to hear you are getting better. If you live in Nice, for three years, that makes you a surrogate(?) is that the right word(?), frenchman as far as I am concerned - you can still be an englishman if you like! And yes, you must be charming, as I wouldn't normally let someone push me to attempt something I'm not brave about! ie writing my piece about the old horse, in first person. You take your time, me old mate, and do things when you feel ready. Kind regards smiley - smiley
