By the way, if you're confused about any of the words or terms used around the site, try looking them up in the h2g2 Glossary A901829.

There are three main things you can do on h2g2 - you can <./>read</.> what others have written, you can <./>talk</.> to the rest of the community, or you can write your own entries for others to read: Writing-Beginners If you want something to read you could try h2g2's own weekly newspaper <./>thepost</.> which is full of cool articles, stories and cartoons. Or if you feel really daring, you could try a <./>RandomEditedEntry</.> Who knows what you'll end up with!

Im a mate of Angel's and set up his page for him, anyhow, how do you become an ACE? Is it a referral process or do you just have to wait until something comes up on the front page? Also, do you HAVE to have access to a PC to do it?

Gees, I ask alot of questions!
I should have started with 'hi, how are you?' but I'll end with it instead!!

Yes, you have to wait until something comes up on the front page advertising for new Aces. You may see at the moment a similar thing asking for sub editors. This is another of the volunteer groups on h2g2.

You don't have to have a PC, I take it you have a digibox? That's fine, several of the Aces do. It may take a little longer, but they seem to cope fine.

If you're interested in becoming an Ace, keep your eyes peeled for a notice on the front page, and generally being helpful and friendly around the site, especially to new users, will help!

Had a look at the sub editors thing, sounded good until they said you needed a PC. I am on digibox

Although after my tragic spelling in the previous posting, the sub editors would have laughed themselves silly at me!!

That's ok, I didn't even notice the spelling mistake until you pointed it out!

That's a shame you need a PC to be a sub-editor. I guess you'll just have to wait until one of the other volunteer groups starts recruiting.
