'xcuse me if I'm being ignorant when it comes to the universe's more special creatures such as unicorns...
But I have read somewhere that by taking things -- such as mountains -- which are not normally pink and painting them pink, they become invisible to most people
(except, of course, the people who stupidly blunders around and bumps into them, thereby cancelling the SEP field effect)
...?

OH!!! I see you are familiar with the SEP effect. 
In this case thought I am affraid its irrelevent.
Actually, pink unicorns (invisible ones naturally)
has nothing to do with phusics, its a matter of faith.
Mountains? thats a different story. I believe whe should make an experiment before deciding. shall we paint a small hill pink (for starters) and see what happens?
