Are you attempting to use the old map links?

If so, they are a BBC thing which are no longer supported with h2g2.com

Besides, the links didn't always work properly under the BBC either.

If you are writing about known Edited Entries, why haven't you linked to them with the map references?

there no maps related this entry on hootoo its the maps that are the key to geting the most from the information .

I am going to try and put referances because I wirte for myself as well as the guide. Maps are needed in my entries whenerever apprioate but I hope outher might think about it. i dont think we need to copy wiki but we need to be writing as compleate an entry as possable to attract as many readers as possable.

It's a lot of work you are undertaking, for just a few who *may* be interested.

If the references were inside the text, they might be high-lighted, and clickable.

Long footnotes can sometimes deter others from looking further.

I think it might be best if you chat with some of the Guide Editors, and get their views.

I have sent some messages, you can poke a few ribs as well

I agree in the text but the footnotes provide a choice this ws a big entry to see if it made it better. I think it did but my opinion is not enough

You've made a good start. If the Eds like it, they will be better to give you further advice
