i'm sure that sometime ago you are my ace.. i don't get to say hello too often.. so hello... but could you advise.. if my daughter wanted to set up a hootoo space for herself on our shared pc would it cause me any problems logging in... i think she tried it once and i couldn't get in using my usual route of saving on favourites..

she has found a young friend same age as herself [rock cheeky chimp] and i spose she should have her own space or it could be very confusing... any ideas?

Aah... RCC, she's my newbie too!!


For your girl to have her one PS you will need to ensure that you have different Passwords and Sign-In's or you may confuse your PC as well as the Tower

You must ensure that you both sign out of Hootoo when you have finished on the PC and you shouldn't have any problem in running two Hootoo Accounts.

Let me know when your girl has her account, and I will pop across to say 'Hello'

thanks lil.. the problem might be that i never sign out properly i just close file...

yes RCC contacted me i was astonished to hear she was only 9 same age as my youngest... if my daughter joins i will keep a close eye on her.. its nice that youngsters are present, but guess we have to look out for them, on the one hand it might be good for them to state their age or come under a junior title.. but on the other that is not respecting their rights [ageism] and could make them targets by unscrupulous types which i must admit i've never come across on hootoo [have come aross some rude and ignorant ones now and again though]

anyway i shall give it a go and see how she likes it and i'm sure rcc can advise her of the better threads for their age... wish us luck

The minimum age for hootoo is set at 16 years, but to be honest this cannot be enforced. However, we do have to watch out for 'jigsaw' messages, where they can give out sufficient information to allow themselves to be identified in RL or their location revealed.

RCC gave too much information in her original PS.. and we had a conversation about it, until she was able to change it. She loves badges and marquees! She loves to be helpful and pass them on to other researchers Your girl might find us a bit slow, RCC took sometime to get used to the ways of the site, by making rapid postings and wondering why she wasn't being answered.

Eeeeh.. these modern communications eh?
