Do you know about the eyes? If you can see two eyes next to someone's name it means they are online. It doesn't mean they are actually looking at the screen. If there aren't any eyes next to the person you address you will have to wait for them to read your post when they are next on the site. You can also click on Who's Online in the side bar and a list of people appears. That's another way to check.

Just above the messages it says "Posted (then how long ago) by Vestboy"
If there are two eyes before Vestboy then I am online. You will always see eyes above your own postings as you are, by definition, online when you post. You are using a computer for this aren't you? - I mean not a clever little text only device that rich people have.
