Shift Change

6/9/99 I've just started training for a new aspect of my job, and have therefore moved onto a weekday shift for the time being. The immediate consequences for h2g2 will be that I will have less time to log on to the site, but hopefully a little more time to work on some entries that I am planning and working on.

Early Shift Blues

Good morning, the time is 0825 and that means that I am only about two and a half hours into my working day. Still look on the bright side I only have eleven and a half hours left to go!
I can't complain though, as I have a job that allows me, to write wibble like this about nothing in particular and everything in general, between frantic patches.
This would probably be a good place to jot down a few first thoughts about h2g2, as I am still very new to the site and the content. What an excellent idea, this is truly a great way to combine diverse and interesting thoughts from a huge range of different people! A true hitch hikers guide online. I have read quite a few entries now; some amusing, some serious, all interesting and most well written. I can only see this site improving and becoming more comprehensive. What's more exciting is that it is never ending, the project will never be complete, because there is always something new or a view from a fresh perspective.
I am looking forward to spending more time perusing the entries and then probably coming up with one or two of my own. More soon...
