Shazz...
Drinking copious quantities of alcohol before you go to sleep generally seems to keep the biters away, although the hangover may not be worth it.
NOT scratching helps a lot as it reduces the risk of your breaking the skin and getting an infection. Slap the sores if they itch.
Swimming in salt water is always good, except in the North Sea, where you may dissolve or freeze to death, so I guess that rules that option out for you.
The optimum solution is to move somewhere warm and sunny, swim plenty and drink lots. Australia is nice, especially if you like flies! (Not NZ, whatever the Loony would have you believe. The mossies there are big enough to steal sheep.)

Arghh!! I think that the mossies are my problem! I am terrible for stopping scratching, but will try to contain myself! The North sea is not an option atm as we live quite a way from it and I would have to walk there LOL. Yesterday I moved a couple of dish washers around, so I now have a great cut on my arm!! i think that I must just be accident and bug prone ROFL!!

shazzPRME Posted May 6, 2000
yes Great thanx
All is now pretty sorted around the house, although I still have to get my computer up and running! TM's one is great, with a nice big screen, but it doesn't have an English spell-checker on it... so please excuse any slip-ups in the Post LOL
The night life and entertaining is excellent, and I have made lots of new friends The problem with this is that I seem to spend far less time on h2g2... and I have so much which I should be doing!!

I can just picture Pastey, leaning against some wall on a dark deserted corner underneath a lonely lamp post, looking at his watch, flowes and choclate in hand.
"Monsy. Why why WHY?" he mutters to himself as he throws the flowers into the bin and walks into the night, eating the chocolates.

what is this big meet all about someone...is it open night?
By not having access shazz i presume you mean no way to get logged on...are there no internet cafes in London?or are they very scarce or what.I have an ulterior motive for asking...i am preparing to blow someones excuses out of the water...lol,not that it is at all serious.

Pastey Posted May 8, 2000
The meet up is an everyone invited get together in London's Hyde Park for a game of softball/rounders/whateveryoumaywanttocallit followed by a sojourn to a nearby pub. It's the real time get together to celebrate h2g2's first birthday and it is happening this Saturday, 13th May
Shazz won't have access then, because since she moved off to Holland (Netherlands???) her computer will be over there and she'll still be over here on Sunday lunchtime. Which is when we do all the final edit and uploading. There are internet cafes in London, but unfortunatley they won't have things like Word/ftp packages and all the other fancy stuff that we use to co-ordinate the Post. Mostly it's ICQ. Which internet cafes aren't too keen on you downloading onto their hard drives.
So, who's excuses are we to scupper?

Thanks Pastey you're a star.I was half thinking over going over to London,i figure it could be a blast but it won't happen, far too much going on at present.
However i have a friend there at present who i suspect will be a little slack with mails and i just know that the excuse is going to be no access....my AK is now locked and loaded....lol
I hope you all have a brilliant time by the way
Cheers

Creeps up behind Monsy and grabs her....tickling her to upturn that pout....mind you,its a very cute pout i must say....i just love to hear you giggle though, and hate to think that you are sad
The weather in london has been great for the last few days i believe pastey, although i am told it gets a little muggy in the afternoon.Oh well...if it is too hot for softball you can always go to the pub early....terrible thing hey??.....lol.It could be worse,a friend of mine in Kuwait tells me that it is too hot to even sit outside in the evenings!!!
