Hello Pegasus,
just recently I read a bedtime story to my son about the ancient legend of Pegasus and Belleraphon.
I've been very intrigued by the whole subject ever since, I've even learnt how to spot the contellation of Pegasus lol.
Just wondered what influenced you into choosing this h2g2 username?

Been such a long time since I chose it (over 3 years it seems!) that I'm not sure I can remember any more. Sorry. Would love to hear more of this story though.
I popped by yours and your wife's pages and thought they were lovely. I hope you both have a fantastic time on h2g2, when you can tear yourself away from the real world.

Thanks for the kind words.
The story of Pegasus I read my son was in a kids bedtime book. All the other stories were things like goldilocks and the three bears, or traditional kids stories. I got no idea what this bit of Greek Mythology was doing in there, but my 2 year old son was fascinated by the picture of the three headed dragon (the chimera) and insisted I read the story.
A funny thing happened yesterday, he was out with my wife and her family xmas shopping, and the went into TGI Fridays for some lunch. My son spotted a picture of a white flying horse on the wall and shouted "look grandad, there's pegasus!" Underneath the picture it had Pegasus written in large letters. My wife said the entire restaurant was gobsmacked lol. Not many two year olds know their Mythological creatures by name

What a clever lad! Wonder if he'll recognise me next time. There are some beautiful Pegasus graphics out there on the Web, if you wanted a picture to adorn his room, or I have a few I could send you some time.

That's very kind of you
I have seen one that's a picture of pegasus, but with the star constellation pegasus superimposed on the picture.
Might put it in his xmas stocking this year
