Hello, Pegasus!
I've seen you around hootoo for as long as I can remember and so I figure it's about time I dropped by and said hello.

Hello there. Sorry it took me so long to notice your post... was busy chatting on IM.
would be a good smiley. Although I rather like Much friendlier.
I've been around here for as long as I can remember too. So what is it that keeps you occupied round these parts?

is a great smiley, but I'm not too sure that hugging people I've never talked to before is the best way to go about starting a conversation with them...
Maybe that's just me
Regarding my role in trying to build the guide, I'm a Scout and am also working on a University Project that was due about a week or so ago.
I also attempt to write a series for the Post on a regular basis, but no one's ever taken it too seriously (including myself), as it is just a very bad version of Umberto Eco's, 'Foucault's Pendulum.'
On a more social scale, I am the veteran cannoneer on board, "The Blood of the Zaphodistas," a regular at The H2G2 (currently unnamed) Cafe, and the creator of The Maverick Table at The h2g2 Legs (temporarily renamed the temporary rename). I am also the drummer for a band that never really got together (probably because it was online and half the band members disappeared for two months) called, 'YP and the Hoopy Hoopsters'....
I had never realized that my h2g2 world was so limited...
I mean, I belong to various fan clubs and such, but still....
Anyway!
How do you keep yourself occupied on hootoo?
Oh, and my AIM screenname is: thewrathofRemis
Stop by and say ahoy if you'd like

Meeting and exchanging RL with h2 researchers has made me realise what a valuable thing a is. Have you been to any of the meets? Which side of the big water are you?
I do far more things here than I can keep up with, one of them being Subbing. There's a list of most of the stuff I do on my space. I'm currently trying to work out how I can cut back on my time here, whilst achieving more, and keeping in touch with the good friends I've made.
I don't use AIM all that often, but I'll add you to my list. I'll also promptly forget who you are (having a different name and all), as I have a memory like one of those things with holes in...

I live in a small, bombastic, and ridiculously rich town ten minutes away from Boston, MA, USA...
There's supposed to be a big New York Meet coming up that I was planning on going to, but something came up, unfortunately, and now it looks like the only meet I'll be able to make is the one here in Boston next summer... *sigh*
As for things with holes in it;
Sponges?
The Galaxy?
Swiss Cheese?
Sheepskin Condoms ?
My Logic?
Ear Lobes?

I think you'll find the EEC has banned holes in Swiss cheese.
Wouldn't want to comment on your logic, unqualified as I am to judge it at present, so I'll opt for... um... ear lobes. Mine have six holes in total, so that seems pretty holy.

Well, I suppose then there's no need for me to tell you I'm an X-Files buff too...
At least until they introduced that new agent who played the bad guy in those crappy terminator movies
