Friends...

I have a friend, he's from Alaska, well he is from California but he has been working in Alaska lately. But now he is on the South pole, on his second! season working on the Scott base. He is bitten of the pole fever i guess. Another friend is bitten by the expedition fever, he skied the trail of the Ititarod dog race with another bloke som years ago, and last winter (2003) he skied the north-west passage.

But apart from that he is the best guy there is, always a cup o coffe and a good chat.
Both these guys i dont meet i person to often, but we communicate via e-mails.
Friends are a value, they represent a link to fun, trust, belonging, love, and much more. Take care of them, e-mails, phoncalls, visits.
Just to say hello, what up, take care can be enough. Invite them to a diner, visit them.
How many friends do you have? Don't count them up, just care about the ones you have.

Between x-mas and new year.

Sitting at my office desk, got a large pile of filing to do. The workdays beetween x-mas and newyear really is boring. But its relaxing to have the opportunity to wind up the slack of jobs not finished. No phones and no visitors. Joyful, joyful. Tomorrow its newyears eve. Were throwing a little party, so I have to come up with a good menu. Lambs leg are lining up as a favourite for the moment. With potatos, veggies ang gravy. Chockolate foundant for desert. Salmon for starters???
I plan to ease down on the liqour intake, to prevent the bad hangover on the 1. of january.
I always think the 2. of january is a day off. Big disapointment every year.
I'll be back in the new year. Happy holidays, what is left of it.
