New Things In My Life
-My mum's new house. --->Looks v. posh. (so posh that my mate Mark has actually disowned me. He claims i'm no longer scruffy enough to be 'youff') 3 floors, 2 bathrooms (thank the Gods!) and my own bedroom (finally) it's lookin' good. The neighbours are all shiny happy people , which will no doubt get annoying very soon but for now makes me feel all welcome.
-My new laptop --->Aren't birthdays brilliant!! (just like milk! ) The new laptop is called Bobert and has behaved v. well (fingers crossed that this signals the end of Reverse Midas Effect i've been suffering)
-My fanfic 'Gentlemen's Agreement'. --->So far the only fic i've ever finished or even come remotely close to finishing. Hoping to get it uploaded to fictionalley.org sometime soon.
-A warm fuzzy feeling. --->extending from my having watched the 3rd Harry Potter film twice (so far). It is muchly good. And Alfonso Cuaron is a GOD!!!!!! *pats little Alfonso on the head* I know that no-one will ever manage to make the perfect HP film, you can't please all of the people all of the time after all, but Alfonso and Co. come as close as i could have hoped for. *And* i have been vindicated and must now HA loudly to those who did not share my love of Messirs Thewlis, Oldman and Gambon . i *so* told you all that they'd kick ass. And now i hope you are all very sorry for ever doubting me
A full review of the film will follow, after i've seen it another 3 times!!!

Ok, this is pretty much the same as my Blurty LJ (only that one's got all the swear words still in it )
Finally! i've officially finished all my exams and i'm a v. v. v. happy little girly. I think/hope that i haven't screwed up to badly on the Biology (tho i completely bummed up the essay question, 2 tiny paragraphs on what plants do in the spare time will never pick up 25 marks *sigh*) and the English seemed ok. General Studies is the usual write-off (tho you never know). But it matters not, for i am free of exam worry 'til August 19th. Then the results come out and i have to think of good excuses as to why i failed.
Now, no doubt your all thinking, Ashteth - that's you finished in College now, isn't it? [btw. that's a tag question! Go me and my knowledge!]
But no. Muggins here has decided to go for a whole 'nother year. Once again i shall haunt the hallowed halls [alliteration!] of good old college, this year doing Art A2, Film Studies AS and English Literature AS (which may get dropped if it sucks). Woo+Yay [use of sarcasm!]
All this AND get a job - easy!
Also, have now got a part in a PANTO!!!!!!! Admittedly it's a dodgy little comedy duo bit, with none other than.... *cue drum roll* My Dad! playing opposite me. Meh... but it ain't chorus (or backstage where i usually lurk... ahem... i mean, hang out.)
Even more exciting news!!! (contain yourselves people) My dad (of comedy duo fame) has bought QUIDDITCH WORLD CUP for our PC. It's surprisingly addictive with it's stupid little grinny types telling you how to score, do combos or special moves. Even better - play as Slytherin and instead of helpful advice Draco Malfoy calls you nasty names and tells you exactly how pants you really are (i hate those chipper little voices that tell you "your nearly there" or "better luck next time". Much prefer being told "i've seen House Elves who play better Quidditch". i feel it adds realism to the experience).
But even more fun can be had by standing behind whoever's currently playing and heckling loudly/cheering for the opposing team until they turn round and smack you. Quality Entertainment! That and making up amusing rhymes to shout at the screen.
He's blond!
He's !
He's never ever missed!
M-A-L-F-O-Y, M-A-L-F-O-Y
or, the ever popular
We're Mean!
We're Green!
We are the Winning Team!
S-L-Y-T-H-E-R-I-N
S-L-Y-T-H-E-R-I-N
Yup, it's sad, i know. But now i've got to try rhyming something with Hufflepuff. *le sigh*
