Hi Taamyu
biomass Started conversation Mar 27, 2004
Your music interests certainly sound similar to mine, and I love most sports. We also share a dislike of liars and hypocrites, but I am probably a little more tolerant of hot weather (I have to be - it gets pretty warm over here). Hope to hear from you. By the way, I thought your userpage was a relly nice introduction.
Hi Taamyu
Sakaijenne Posted Mar 28, 2004
Hello there
Welcome to my space
I'm glad to know that you like my space.
So, you like Queen, Kate Bush, blah, blah, blah?
If you don't mind that my English is horrible and I'm a Japanese, I'm happy to keep our conversation
Remember, I'm VERY SLOW RESPONDER
So you are in Australia, aren't you?
Hi Taamyu
biomass Posted Mar 30, 2004
I'm sorry but I wo'nt have a computer for about three dats (repairs). This is a quick message from uni to let you know that I would be delighted to keep in contact with you. Hope to hear from you soon.
Hi Taamyu
Sakaijenne Posted Mar 30, 2004
Never mind
You don't have to say sorry to me
You're lucky because you can access from Uni, too though I can't as I graduated uni YEARS AGO when there were no computer for students
If my computer crashed, how I could contact you
So, don't worry. I'm here most of the time, maybe lol.
It's raining here in Osaka, but I found that Cherry Blossoms has been blooming yeseterday.
Yep, Spring has come in Osaka
Hi Taamyu
biomass Posted Mar 31, 2004
I will be on and off the air for about 10 days (not 3) due to computer repairs. I will try to check messages from uni, like now, but don't know if/when the next chance will be. Please keep in touch during this little hiccup. Hope to hear from you soon.
Hi Taamyu
Sakaijenne Posted Mar 31, 2004
Hiya
Don't worry
I'll keep in touch with you
How are you?
I'm fine, though I'm very sleepy
Don't you have Easter Holidays?? As it seems that you go to uni. today. In Japan, we have 'Spring holidays' for about 2 weeks for children, students this season. We haven't got Easter, anyway.
AS I might tell you, the Cherry blossoms is blooming now, this means that Spring has come to Osaka I think it's getting colder(cooler) little by little there.
Take Care
See you soon
Taamyu
ps Could you tell me what "(not 3)" means on your message?
Hi Taamyu
biomass Posted Mar 31, 2004
I meant that I won't have my own computer for ten days, and not three days as I had previously told you. The undergraduate students do get Easter holidays, which start on Good Friday, but as an Honours student I only get Good Friday itself off. I am fine, but don't like the computers at uni and can't wait until I get mine back. I'm not very good with computers, so I like the one I'm used to, and also I don't feel so rushed at home. Hope to hear from you soon. By the way, my name is Michael.

Hello Michael
for delaying my reply. I've been very LAZY for months. I did not reply you not because you're young, but because I've been lazy
So you're the same generation with me But it's good for you to keep studying
What subject are you studying now?
I studied English Literature at uni when I was young
I forget English little by little, though I've been bad at English since I started to learn English
How about your computer? Hope it's repaired and come back to you
Taeko (my first name)
Hi Taamyu
biomass Posted Apr 6, 2004
First of all, that's a lovely name. But you must help me, is it pronounced take-oh or tye-ko?
Don't worry about being lazy, it's what I do best, so all is forgiven.
I'm doing an honours year in Microbiology after having finished my degree with a double major in microbiology and genetics. Not very interesting conversational topics, I know. Sorry about that.
Your English is fine. It's certainly better than my Japanese, so you win!
My computer is now back until (we think) late next week. Will this back and forth never end? I'm starting to panic a little because I've got some uni work coming up that needs to be handed in and I'm not sure whether to save it on this thing, or on one of those slow dinosaurs at uni. We'll see what happens.
Hope all is well.

Michael
most of you get confused with my name in Japanese as we just use "English alphabet(We call it "Roman alphabet")" to express how to pronounce it, but in fact it's difficult for you to understand how to pronounce it.
Remember we have 5 vowels; a, i, u, e, o and over 5 consonants and we combine consonant and vowels. All consonants need vowels in each letter. So, for example, my name, "Taeko" This name is constracted with 3 Japanese letters, i.e. Ta, E and Ko (look all word finish with vowel)
So, you may pronounce :
Ta is pronounced like "ta" in English
E is pronounced like "E" for "egg" in English
then Ko is pronounced like "Co" for "coincident" in Enlish
Then mixed with those words
Ta-E-Ko I hope you'll understand now how to pronounce my name.
AAAAAawwwwwwww, scientific study you are doing, aren't you
To tell the truth I wanted to be a as my grandfather was. But I was not good at physics and I gave up going to medical collage, and studied English Literature instead. Big change I had
Ooo, yes it's very interesting conversation to listen to your subject because it's new to me
>Your English is fine. It's certainly better than my Japanese, so you win!
Everybody says so, but remember I've studied English for over 20 years and you've never studied Japanese. This is a big difference If you start learning Japanese, then you may improve Japanese much more than me
Glad to knowt that your computer is now back but it seems bit compicated for me to understand.
But I do hope you can managed to deal with it and you won't have any problem with your computer
I've been very drowsy and the drowsiness hasn't gone yet One problem is that I havne't proper sleep, so I suppose I'd better to go to bed early and sleep well so that I feel better I'll try to sleep tomorrow
So, don't worry if I reply you this week

Happy Easter
It's been very lovely day here in Osaka. And the peak of Cherry blossoms is going to the end I'll show you some photos of cherry blossoms if you want to
Well, Michael, Take Care and Have a Lovely weekend
Have you got Easter Holiday, too? We haven't got it of course
Good, I'll go to bed now
Keep in touch, please.
I hope you're bored with me
See you soon
Taeko

We call it Roman alphabet too, which is strange because the word is obviously derived from the first two letters of the Greek alphabet (Alpha and Beta). I don't think I'll attempt Japanese, or any other language, because I don't think I have a linguistic mind. That makes you very clever and very special.
Thanks for the help with your name, I have it under control now.
I hope you're starting to feel better, and don't be sad that the cherry blossoms are going because the quicker they go, the quicker you can look forward to seeing them again next year.
The situation with my computer is confusing to me too . Even I don't know when it is going again, but it's back right now.
I'm glad you find my subject interesting. For my research this year I need 8 specific pieces of DNA so that I can get something else that I need from them (called RNA). Well, I have had 6 of them for some time, I got the 7th about 10 days ago, and today I finally isolated the final one. Now I can move forward at a much greater speed. I am quite pleased with myself.
Thank you for the Easter wishes. Unfortunately, the undergraduate students have some holidays, but I do not. I have even been spending days there on weekends if needed. They give the 8 honours students keys to the microbiology building and keys to our specific labs because they know that we will need to be there at strange times and on days off at various stages of our projects. It's different to other years, it's a little bit lonely because the 8 of us do research into different projects. Each one is unique, so there isn't the chance to exchange information like I have always previously done with fellow students. But most of us are doing things that have not been answered yet (I think 5 of us), so we feel very challenged (and proud if we make progress).
I hope you make a full and speedy recovery. Get well soon.

Having heard the news of the 3 Japanese hostages i wish to express my deepest sympathies. Rest assured every Australian heart is with them, their families, and your nation. We all pray for their safe return and hope that one day there will be peace on Earth.
Hi Taamyu

Micheal
Sorry for my lazy reply all the time
Why I study English/French or other language is that I can't talk with you with Japanese
Of course, I like England and France(I'm sorry I was not interested in the US, Canada and Australia until I've got friends)(still not interested in Canada as I've not got any Canadian friends lol)(such a huge country to see all)... as I don't know much about those countries)... and I studied English Literature, so I HAD TO study language, too. No way! lol
I'm sure if you were interested in Japan or you should study Japanese literature or culture, you would study Japanese so that you could speak Japanese even you had not any sense of linguistics. I mean it! I don't think I'm clever nor special. If you think so, I'm very honoured that you say so.
I'm very sorry for your computer. I really wish its complete repairment
Glad to know that you are doing your study well
Although we haven't got Easter holidays, lots of shops tried to sell "EGGS"s as Easter and people bought them with notknowing what Easter is Unbelievable... yuk, yuk.
The Cherry blossoms were almost gone, and they are turning into Green. So, summer will come soon.
Is it getting colder there?
------
Such a sad news that lots of people has become victims of silly war. Itaian people today
I always think that aggressive warlike people should go to the another planet and fight each other unless they satisfy
----
It's sunny and warm today here
I'll spend lazy sleepy afternoon
Take Care
See you soon

It has started to get quite cool of an evening as the sun goes down now that winter is heading our way. Having said that, the last two nights have been warm, Wdnesday was Melbourne's hottest April night in 20 years. But it's easy to tell that we will soon be shivering. Hope everything is well with you, at least your closing in on summer.
Hi Taamyu
Sakaijenne Posted Apr 21, 2004
Hello Michael
How are you?
I'm okay, though I've been very sleepy since April, no March
AS my insists on making my routine normal(wake up in the morning and sleep at night not stay late at midnight), I try to do that
How's your study going on
I hope you enjoy your study at university
I'll go to French lesson and Japanese Calligraphy lesson today I've just finished my Japanese calligraphy homework(normally student do it at teacher's house, but as there are so many noisy s, I do the monthly theme at home and bring to my teacher's house every Thursday)
It's getting hotter these days like early summer day, but as for weather forecast it will become colder than now once again in a few days
But, we have now pleasunt lovely days
Take Care, Michael
See you soon again

Hi Taeko,
Study isn't going as well as it should because I've hit a lazy streak. Bummer. This week has been a complete waste, all I've actually done is "hang around" uni, which I love but it doesn't get results. Wow, calligraphy - I love the Chinese characters that your language uses, they look so cool. It's starting to become quite cold nowadays, so there can be no doubt that winter is just around the corner. The next time I speak to you I will probably be freezing my bum off.

Michael
I've been very lazy for studying for years
It often happen to us lol.
I'm sure you'll be able to study again You'll may discover what you need for your study sooner or later
I'm very bad at calligraphy, but I keep learing it so that I'll do better than now lol.
It sounds rather strange to talk about weather with you as we have completely upside down season
Keep yourself warm
I'll leave soon, but I'll keep in touch with you as much as I can
See you soon
Taeko

The strangest part about discussing the weather is that It doesn't listen to what we're saying. Today is glorious, and there's one tiny drop of sweat on my forehead! No more predictions from me until I study meteorology!
Hi Taamyu
Sakaijenne Posted Apr 22, 2004
Michael
It seems that I've got a slight cold
I think it's because of recent ficlke weather
I hardly have a cold, and this time it's only a very slight one, so I will be okay
Need to a cup of or to keep myself warm
.....Take Care Michael It will be colder and colder there whereas it'll be hotter and hotter here
Taeko
