Hi Ivan
I've just 'seured' an interview with David Helfgott in a nearby city on Sunday - and to be at the concert he is giving.
He is protector of the Awakenings Festival (can't remember ig I told you this before. I've too many balls in the air.)

I'm breaking my own rule and posting from w*rk. Don't tell anyone.
Where is David Helfgott performing on the Sunday?
He's certainly an interesting man...

He is performing in the Culture House, (Kulturhuset), in Skanderborg. http://billetsalg.kulturhuset-skanderborg.dk/salg/
I really haven't got a clue what I will ask him. I have to research. Lent my copy of Shine to one of my pupils, and now I wonder whether I've only seen bits of it. But the internet must reveal some story, surely, apart from his own site, which is last updated in 2005, as far as I can see (except for the tourplan - he's been to Estonia recently), and publish only a few articles, short and to the point, but too short for me.

I wouldn't know what to ask him either. He's such an unusual man; even a simple question might lead to an interesting outcome.
Here's a transcript of a television interview; I don't know if you've seen this. You'll see that Mr Helfgott is quite impulsive sometimes, maybe even a little hard to follow. http://www.abc.net.au/gnt/profiles/Transcripts/s1059450.htm
