I was off to bed soon after writing that, and was asleep just after 8. smiley - yawn Gosh I needed that. It's beyond me how anyone could hoover by night...

I'll leave this thread open, but I've unsubbed from lots of places. This is it - the final hootoo session... *sniffle* It's a very strange feeling, but it's the best way for me, personally.

Im not sure that I'll resurface at the other place either. I think a fresh start somewhere else is what I need. (Of course I'll still lurk.)

hope it wasn't too hot, I had the aircon on today as well, but there is a loverly breeze now, so I have opened the windows.

There is another blog up, be warned it is a bit of a scroller, I really must talk to JB about adding an email subscription to the blogs smiley - tongueout

It seems it didn't quite make it to 38. Can't say I mind. I'll open the place up in about half an hour from now. Apparently it'll be a rather horrid warm night, but that's better than a stinking hot day any time.

(I'll be at your blog soonish.)

thanks for the comments Ivan smiley - biggrin

I have just posted a thread with pics of Rupert, I find out tomorrow how the trip went, and how he is, I am on tenterhooks till J rings me, I am not worried about how he will be with the new family.more I am worried about how the journey will stress him, I slept in an old T-shirt the night before and it was to be put in the carry crate with him, along with his two favourite toys.

Astrix seems to be coping okay...but then he was an only dog befor Rupert came in 2004

I must thank you again for lunch, the curry was loverly smiley - smiley

I did end up shopping in civic and went back on sunday and got myself a vacuum cleaner, I strapped it to the back of the bike and rode home carefullysmiley - tongueout, finally the floor of the cave is clean.

In for a boring Saturday this weekend, I will be stuck in Fishwyke for several hours, while the bike gets its first service, and repaired, I came off it on Tuesday and smashed up the right hand front section smiley - sadface, and it has left me very bruised and depressed and feeling stoopid.

Although I have heard there are some rather interesting types of shops in Fishwyke smiley - winkeye I moght have to search them out smiley - tongueout

and hasn't the weather been just loverly the last few days

smiley - cheers

Oh, your poor bike smiley - cheerupsmiley - hug

Fyshwick is a very strange place to spend time. Very strange indeed. But there are a couple of good bookshops in among all the 'other' smiley - winkeye bookshops. And of course there's the hardware places...

This weekend I'm being a hermit. This week has been a shocker - everyone except me seems to be ill at the moment, and all hell broke loose from the Minister's Office, and I need a damn' good rest. (It'll be cheaper too.)

Hey Ivan

ohhhhhhh I shouldn't be allowed in secondhand book stores while I have money on my debit card :}

what wonderful shops.... I shan't be going them again too soon... or i will have no money left.

I am now going to hibernate the rest of the weekend, might go on air for a bit, or attempt, to on sunday

Right, that's half the weekend gone. I've done some digging and some sewing (well, mending) and now I'm appallingly tired and have a pain in my right arm from digging. And a pain in my right hand from a sewing accident. And it's not time for bed yet. smiley - yawn

Tomorrow I'll fool about in the kitchen for a while, and then lie down in front of the telly.

Well I did something very spur of the moment...........

I quit my job this morning, smiley - yikes and had another this afternoonsmiley - cool

customer service at the local IGA 5mins from here, full time, mon to fri

The travel and the frustration with the computers, and the times of doing nothing with the spare parts job was making me stress out and I was starting to get depressed, I just decided that this job wasn't worth it, it didn't pay that well anyway, will make about the same with the new one, it is closer to home, will be easier (giving me a chance to start thinking about study)
