Life's being nice to me just at the moment. This makes a nice change. I haven't been dumped, sacked or bitten by anything for quite a while. The weather's lovely too, which is a pity because we need rain quite desperately.

sounds like I came in at the end of that! But that has to be a good thing, right?

Life in London, UK, is ok and its not rained here for a few days either although is still rather chilly, but we're back in + numbers now so it's not so bad, bit windy!


So, when you're not being bitten, sacked or dumped, what do you do for fun?

Fun? Yes, I remember fun, I had some once. I live in Canberra, which is enough to kill off a lot of exciting possibilities. For fun I go to Sydney, which is only about 320km away. (By Australian standards, that's just down the road a bit.)

But seriously, I'm a bookworm and sprawling-on-the-couch addict, so the lack of excitement in Canberra doesn't bother me too much. Besides, I have good friends here and we try to relieve each other's boredom as best we can. There's a party tonight at my ex-partner's place, and it's shaping up to be a very long night with lots of alcohol and food and raucous behaviour and probably (hopefully?) the occasional drunken snog from the ex. (Obviously we still get along really well; it's just the whole 'partner' thing that doesn't work.)

As for fun that doesn't involve , all I have to do is walk 5 minutes up the hill from home. It's all bushland, and if you sit quietly on a rock you get to watch all the local kangaroos bouncing about. If you don't bother them they tolerate your presence. Fluffy animals, parrots, a good view, and not a person in sight... very nice.

Its like that where I am. Im about 2 hours train ride from central london and there's not much to do. Not that that worries me. I'm kinda housebound so am happy to curl up with a good book or the tv.

How was the party, any drunken liasons with your ex, or maybe someone new?

Saying that, where you live sounds pretty much like my days.. without the roos, good views or weather!
Sounds like alittle slice of heaven!

The party? It's probably still going. I left early. There's been a lot of distressing things happening lately in RL, and I realised I wasn't in the party mood. It was a stinking hot night, so I couldn't sleep and ended up on here for a few hours waiting for a cool breeze to come from somewhere. (I'm still waiting - it's 37C now.)
