What a lovely idea. But I have a feeling the police will stop people having marbles in the area. We've already been warned not to bring eggs.

Well, there could be young children playing with marbles in the area, and of course children must be allowed to play...

Maybe we can train infants in prams to throw their rattles...

The route of the relay has been changed, but my office building is still on it.
The cost of this stupid event to the Territory is now estimated to be $2 million. Reason enough to cancel it, as far as I'm concerned.

Are you suggesting that only people who have lost their marbles will be allowed to be there?

Only people who've lost their marbles will be carryig the stupid overgrown barbecue-lighter thing, that much is certain.

The PM has said that the Chinese thugs will have no crowd-control role on Thursday. The Chinese Ambassador has said today that they *will* take such a role. How dare he!
I think the Ambassador should be sent home. At the very least. We don't need scum like that here.
I am definitely going to be protesting on Thursday.

The windows are tinted and I'm on the third floor. If I'm to do this, I have to be outside and visible.

Ivan the Terribly Average Posted Apr 22, 2008
Simply 'visible' is enough for me.
The ghastly vile Ambassador has backed down from his comments about the role of his thugs in the whole sad business - but I still don't trust him and I still want him thrown out.
