Just to let you all know that I spoke to Christiane this evening and she is well. She had been ill since last October apparently and wasn't up to coping with coming online, but says she feels really well now.
Sadly her sight is failing and she finds typing very difficult. She asks to be remembered to all her friends on h2g2 but isn't sure if/when she will be online again.
I can pass on any messages to her if anyone would like to say hello to her.

Hello Websailor! Sorry for only seeing this now. I'm very happy to hear some news of Christiane; I've been worrying about her a bit lately! If you could say hello to her for me and tell her I'm thinking of her I would appreciate it greatly!
