I spoke with AR1 on Sunday. She's had some quite difficult news to bear, and from what I can see, the diagnosis isn't too promising. She's considering moving to Torquay, where the air should be better for her - and I don't think she's ever had a great deal of time for her neighbours where she is; they don't sount like kind people from what she says. I'm hoping to fix a visit with her before she moves. We might go swimming, which is what we've done before. Little rather likes that. K has come swimming too, and he's really good with young 'un.

Thanks so much for that. I was fairly sure you knew her quite well. I have only spoken to her on the phone a few times, and for me she is so far away.

I knew she hated it where she is, but there were obstacles to her moving, which are private.

It is such a shame she is not still on h2g2 where more people could give her support.

Please let me know if you do get to see her. It is so unfair that she has more problems, she is such a feisty lady. I will try and give her a ring soon.

It occurred to me if her friends can post on this thread one of us could print off and let her have a copy. It might cheer her up to know people are thinking of her.

I think that Christiane has had two difficulties - one with her e-mail provider, who has changed from Wanadoo to Orange - and she's found that difficult, plus I believe she's lost her password for her h2g2 account. I know that Gnomon sorted her out previously. I think that it might be very difficult to get messages to her electronically.

I will probably try to visit her next week when I have a week's leave between the end of the school term and the start of the school holiday play provision. I could print out your messages for her and take them with me.

I have been watching for some.

Best wishes and prayers to her and those around her.
I hope that she will be in better surroundings soon.

It is difficult going day to day hoping things will improve.
Sad to hear things are still very difficult.
I am sure we all want to know how things progress and hope for the best but want to know her reality, no matter. Whatever she is comfy with in the way of messages

Fortunately I think that our time of moving to Folkestone (not Torquay) is approaching and so Keith and I are very pleased.

I have all sorts of wonderful new things to do and complete.

My son in law has just phoned me. It seems that Lou is drifting in an d out and is back in a lovely private room where she has her own phone. She is obviously on morphine now but I shall be able to phone her on Sunday.
