Like the music you listen to as posted on the What Are You Listening To Now forum. Roy Harper is a great songwriter and some of the other name checks are great too! I also notice that you are an editor and wondered if, pretty please, you would take a look at my article about WOMAD and help me to get it approved?
I was also wondering if there is a way to get all the articles on h2g2 about festivals linked in some way so that anyone who is interested in such things could access them all more easily?
Thanks

That is the correct entry sir. My feeling is that it should be divided into sections and that the headings could be at the top so that people could click on the section that they are interested in rather than having to plough through the whole thing unless they really want to? Hope you like the piece and maybe have some ideas about how to link all the festival articles together - a faculty in the university maybe?
Thanks in advance for the inordinate amount of time you will have to put in to read the entire thing.

OK I have read it, and enjoyed it. It seems to give a good insight into the first few magical experiences, and the fun and games had there However, at the moment it is not upto Edited Guide standards Sorry. However, again, it should be possible to bring it to Edited Guide standards, though it may take a bit of work. Hmmmm, so how to go about this? OK, I suggest you read the following pages, to begin with...
http://www.h2g2.com/Writing-Guidelines - The Writing Guidelines (suprisingly You may want to have shuftey at some of the other pages recommended here. They are all very useful.
http://www.h2g2.com/A390836 and http://www.h2g2.com/A417845 - these are two Entries on Glastonbury which have just passed the Peer Review hurdle.
http://www.h2g2.com/A442874 - This is about a festival, but it is Roskilde 2000. However it does give a good idea about what can be accomplished. This is waiting to move to the front page, and get into The Edited Guide.
After you have gone through those pages, you may see what a large job this could be. I am more than willing to help out, but most of the work will have to be you The main problem I see at the moment is that the Entry is in the first person, where Edited Guide Entries are normally in the third person. This could lose the sense of enjoyment and awe that the current Entry has in spades, but the Roskilde Entry shows that judicous use of first person can be included. I can help out with the GuideML, teach you the basics (which is all you really need, and all I really use
So read those pages, return here and tell me if you are up for getting this Entry into the Edited Guide. I hope you are, as it is fascinating, and the Entry has great potential. It must be one of the good things about living daan saath, you get so many more people playing within a decent distance. I feel a sense of loss that I missed the first few WOMAD festivals I hope this helps somewhat and that you return and decide to make this an Edited Guide Entry. Oh, these are my thoughts, other SubEds or Scouts may tell you something else, it may be worth checking in case there is an easier way to do this (I am afraid I cannot think of one So, again I hope this helps, and I look forward to lending a hand Please ignore any dodgy spelling or grammer in these posts, not really my strong point, well until later.....

I think that I will have to find another home for my article - what would the situation be if I were to submit it for publication in a magazine such as fROOTS? I feel that too much would be lost from the original feel of the article to rewrite it in 3rd person. Thanks for your time - I'll keep you posted on what happens.
Hope I've inspired you to give WOMAD a try sometime - it really is The Best Festival in the World! Thanks again

Could you leave a copy on h2g2? As it is still searchable and readable by all the Researchers, and a really good Entry You could ask Peta if she would advertise it on the front page, you never know she may do it Until later....
