Time to take a break
MoFoLo Started conversation Jun 9, 2005
It has been iteresting visiting this site. I met a lot of fascinating people. It also opened up a whole new world.
But, and you knew there would be a "but," my life has been spiraling down hill the past couple of years or more and it has gotten worse the past week. At best it is going to take the rest of this year or better just to recover this last situation.
I don't want to get on this site if I am depressed and angry. So until I get a handle on things this has to be sayonara, cheerio, vaya con Dios, ciao, until we meet again.
Love to one and all,

Dear dear Mo
Don't you dare leave us! Come here & rant & rave as much as you want ... we'll listen. Come here when you're depressed ... we'll cheer you.
Go to our usual chat thread & let me know exactly what's happening - I'll post there now so it shows up.
Promise you'll talk to me?

Dear Shirps
It is not a situation of rants or raves. I came close to losing our home; I set up a payment plan that will get me current in a year if nothing screws up. I am a couple of months past due on electricity and gas. I got hit with $375.00 US dollars of penalties for over draft when my daughter didn't make her car payment in a timely fashion. I also lost our auto and our house insurance.
Oh and on the lighter side. a week ago last Saturday, while trying to escape getting snapped by a towel I lost my footing while running and literally flew into the side of our car. The upper portion of the door has a ding where my face hit and the middle portion of the door is caved in where my body did it's thing. The face (nose) is doing fine. I still have severe twinges and pain in my left lower back when I try to bend over. And my left leg is just a little less swollen than it was yesterday but still looks like it belongs on a dead body.
Bonnie does not understand why we can't go for drives. She says I didn't use to tell her no. Right now she isn't talking to me.
These are all things I need to take fix. No one can do it for me. And as much as you have always cheered me up I can not imagine burdening you with my continuing tales of horror. I figure that if no major catastrophes occurs in the next seven months I will be in better shape and maybe even ready to laugh at my current situation.
I'll be back. But right now I have a lot of sorting out to do.
Best regards to Roger, a for Holly, and my greatest appreciation for your cheerful messages that made me laugh. Love to all,
Mo

My dear Mo
I do understand & really look forward to your return - chin up & breath deeply. Be harder on your kids & kinder to yourself.
I'm tapping this out with one finger - had ops yesterday: left hand in plaster - left thumb joint has been fused:thumb plastered for 6 weeks until wires have done their job by fusing the bone; left ring finger operated on via back & palm side of hand. Right shoulder has been manipulated & I have horrible physio to do on that!!! Could be worse though
Loads of love to you & I await .... the return of the king

Mo
I've been kinda busy, so i'm sorry that I didn't notice you'd done a runner until today, when I found myself wondering what you'd been up to.
Anyway Mate, I hope you get everything sorted out and can return asap.

I'll join in the choir of people who wish you good luck and hope you'll be back.
As Shirps says: Rave and rant anytime, and we'll listen. And if you need ideas or second opinions just say when.

Appreciate your kindness. Things keep piling up but since I stopped taking the calming pill I am getting back to facing my problems. I am thinking that maybe I was going into depression but didn't know it. In any case I am trying to pick myself up by the bootstrap.
Latest, the blower went out on the car. Can survive without until cold weather starts icing the windows. So I have at least three months.
I checked on getting a replacement hearing aid and all the major brand names require payment up front and they won't deal with my insurance. I just have to find the paperwork from my last aid. When I do I will have the name of a business that does work with insurance. Unless they have changed their methods also.

Yes - dated 8/1? Or do you say, 1/8? Any way the first of August.
What I didn't understand is from a later thread you said the boy slapped you. What is wrong with Danish boys. You never hear of one of our guys, at that age, slapping a girl.
By the way, are you getting mother's revenge put upon you. Mom always said I hope you have a son like yourself so you know what I had to go through.
I thank you for the answers. Sorry I didn't respond directly.

Well, the boy was annoyed with me for putting a letter into his schoolbag. Maybe one of his friends saw it. Maybe he was just embarrassed. Maybe he didn't know what to do about it. You know - like pulling ponytails a.s.o. Boys at that age (12) hated girls - or they said they did.
1.8. or 1/8 we write. I've had two daugthers like myself. And a boy like my brother...revenge enough I should think

In spite of my bad parenting I feel good about the way things turned out for three of the kids.
Although during those certain teen years it did seem a bit overwhelming at times. Don't understand it. I mean, I was a perfect child. Man I crack me up some times.

nope, that's how I supposedly got my first name. Being just short of re-mark-able.

The is doing better than me: This from yesterday,
My son, had a good day. My daughter took him and two of her boys to the Hilton for a swim. When they were leaving he offered to help the caterer load up his truck and was told they were fine but go back to the dining hall and take whatever he wanted. He brought home four pies, a box of cookies, two cakes and a slab of pressed turkey meat. When he got home he got "Saving Private Ryan' in the mail.
Found out he stashed three other boxes of cookied in his room.

That's what I call being resourceful, bordering on opportunistic
PS: S'pose he kept the other boxes in "store"
Key: Complain about this post
